    This is something puzzling me...

Why we can't have fictional nascar cars as rF2 did in the past already?

Those cars looks so out of place....

I have no idea either. Just a simple generic Stock car representing either the current or any past generation, or both. I would have zero complains if it wasn't licensed.

Totally agree; NASCAR is only the most popular form of motorsport, by the number$, in the United States….

Too bad we don’t have anyone with experience making NASCAR liveries for AMS2, right Tom?

    NASCAR....

Pre 1970 and I'll buy it...

Anything else... If it's free I'll drive it...

Not a fan of plate racing... Driving them always felt like a crap shoot for whomever got the best run and very little to do with set up and driving the lap the best...

I'm guessing the reasons we haven't got a current gen NASCAR is similar to why we will not have a current gen Indycar from Reiza... The shells will be too similar... And the whole rights debacle...

Maybe 80s or 90s generic Nascar wouldnt be a problem? I'm not a big fan of oval racing in general, but I've been wondering why AMS 2 doesnt have some sort of generic Nascar. I guess anyway would be better for Reiza to improve the oval racing experience before since it looks it needs improvements.

So rF1 and rF2 are going to be pursued anytime soon?

The same principle can be applied to Reiza fictional formulas then...

I am not a fan of Nascar but I think is a missed opportunity....

You can go everything fictional, but you don't want to step on feet or go hugging the line of what's acceptable and what not. Maybe they are close to get nascar, but by releasing some brand-off/fictive nascar they will harm the good relations with Nascar for example, etc etc. Can't have everything in the world. Good relationships are also wise to maintain. See it as EU IV. :D

The difference with the fictional formulas is there are more than 2 or 3 chassis for the current stuff and for the older stuff there's absolutely no exclusivity deals in existence... Same thing for the Super_V8 there's no exclusive V8 Supercar game...

rF2 has the same owners as the one with the deal now... So it's not a problem there... And rF1 is a mod so there's no legal ground...

Reiza could also be already planning parts 4, 5 and 6 of Racing USA and a car from one manufacturer could come with some more ovals in that... But there's no announcing that until they've cleared hurdles because of the deal for MSGS... If that's the case at all...

Rf2 has a deal NOW as you said but when the fictional cars were released still not and wasn't a thing alredy...

rF1 Nascar car wasn't mod but base content as it was in rF2...it was featured on the game cover too.

But I agree with the others, probably Reiza doesn't want to upset the rights owners or we can hope in Nascar BR, that would be awesome...

I didnt know this was happening already in 2023, I'll be watching it for sure. Maybe it makes it easier for Reiza to slap some Nascar content in the game eventually. A Brazilian Nascar series, it's a good time for motorsports fans lately.

There was no deal with MSGS and as far as I'm aware the previous NASCAR rights owners never had a problem with rF1 or rF2 and their fictional versions... Unlike the current situation with the rights holder as we saw with the Indycar stuff...

I stand corrected, but that's not what people are using to run NASCAR events in rF1...

This was my point all along, it's a different landscape now thanks to those exclusivity deals...

The Sprint car series is probably the best chance for Reiza to do it unless my above suggestion happens... Either way one car is all we need...

For now though the Opalas are a lot of fun to bump draft...

Doesnt nascar own a lot of the tracks in the US. You p them off you cant licence the tracks. But still, a very generic stock car would be hard to fault.

The 1987 stockcars available in Iracing are a lot of fun and they look quite nice imo.

For sure! My favorite car in iRacing (and now with AI). Probably why I enjoy the 86 Opala so much.

Project CARS(1) had an excellent early-90s Nascar-type car, that disappeared when PC2 rolled around. They only had a 2016-type nascar instead.

Wow, seven years ago, pre-VR, on the PS3 lol. Time flies!
