Yeah I think so too.
But to be honest and relating to the loooong physics thread then I personally think that the largest issue with this car is that it feels way too short.
If the car did feel longer then it would also feel much more realistic.
But I admit that it is a veeery long time ago I have driven it in RL (joke )

 

What was or is the problem with the 98T? I only took it for a short drive when it was released, cant quite remember.

 

Its a problem alot of us at one point or another have struggled with, don't be too hard on us, we are trying to get better!

 

A modder thought it felt weird and they argued about clutched LSD. Then a guy who has driven it IRL posted on twitter what he thinks. Then the modder went on to say that PC2’s group C cars (I think) felt better.

 

Don't go there mate ! All hell broke loose in the general discussion forum a couple weeks ago over that question lol . Seriously though there's a very interesting discussion in a physics thread on there, worth a read .

Tested more tracks with F-V10 gen1 cars. Great to drive these cars on limit. First lap with softs in Nurburgring (2020 version) and I was 2-3 seconds slower than AI, then hards and I was first, not much but a few tenths. About 2-3 second gap between tires. Puzzling, hard tire is better than soft. Everytime and every track I have tried. More grippier which is weird and of course more durable and doesn't overheat as much as soft. Bug maybe? Does AI use different compounds in qualify and race?

Ok, I'll give it a read, even though I gave a fast read over the first post and I kind of disagree already, because I expect that car to be snappy, but I need to drive and pay atention to see how it feels.

 

Nimble is also different to being easy to control. I don't think I have ever seen a driver lock up with the Porsche in reality before.
But wether that is correctly modelled in AMS2 or not, I don't know for sure, I just 'feels" like they lock up too easily.

Ok... not going there but already going , the 98T feels exatly how I expect a 1.6L with a turbo from the 80s that go to 5 bar should feel, the turbo lag should bite you in the ass if you are not careful shouldnt it? To me it's fun as hell to drive, I should've payed more atention to it before.

 

Try testing the cars when comparing cars, at the same track and same track conditions(same day/same hour/lock the track grip). AMS2 will give a very different car handling when these parameters change compared to other sims.
With default settings for the track conditions a car handling at Spa (at 22C) will be completely different to the same car with the same setup at Laguna Seca (at 50C) track temp by start. So do not change track nor track conditions at all for a relevant comparison.

 

Anyone has snow in Imola Historic 2001? Some AI drivers had a problem leave garage and one got stuck in there. They drove same speed with those tires as I was on slicks. Took video of it but couldn't upload it here. Okay, put video on twitter and then embed it here. Any easier way?
