So when do we think the Jan content updates will be?

This weekend when my girlfriend is away and I have a lot of free time. Or next weekend when there are plans and no time for sim racing...

 

I think it will just be bug fixing, but otherwise it could be out in early February

 

Does anybody known any news about skins for F1 Calssic Gen 3 and 4?

I'd guess probably first two weeks of February but is really hard to know because we don't know how complete things are. My guess is just based on the fact the team just took a vacation and aren't all too keen to crunch right after taking a break after what seems to be a pretty big crunch.

 

I hope Reiza opens up the backer campaign again

 

Would easily pay $100 for beta testing and all DLC for free.

 

I think some currently public users could really enhance the beta forum.
As long as they don't open Pandoras Box with this direction and beta discussions are flooded with wish and moan spam.

Out of interest, does it make a difference if you simulate the practice session by using 'Skip to end'?

Yeah I assume it will be closer to $200-300 at this point because we now know what to expect. Maybe more depending on how long reiza plans to support AMS 2

Just to be clear, backers paid a lot of money up-front with no guarantee of what would come, if anything (AMS or AMS 2 could have derailed during development and produced nothing). Beta testing is not a perk, it is mostly a pain in the rear end The vast majority of people would not want less than finished content a few days in advance just for the privilege of testing it, after paying approximately the same amount as customers paid much later...when the nature of said content was already known and mostly delivered.

My impression, having been around here longer than most, is that many people want the early beta content, but not to do any of the testing. We also know that there are lots of complaints that some content is not fully polished even when included in the release candidates...

Luckily @CrimsonEminence reads all the threads and tracks bugs and comments from any/all sources, so any contributions will be captured.
