I'm not familiar, we don't have any endurance racing in my home country. Can you explain to me what mid race save is?

Whether the limiting factor is weather or grid size or rule books or licensing or software bugs, I'm not aware of a single racing simulation that ever provided a "full experience" ... in my opinion, Reiza's continuing efforts seem to provide a better opportunity to realize that objective than most developers.

    Google Maps
If the track-department has modelled it in the game, it should there be as well in real life. If you know where the building is perhaps you can find it on google maps. Lots of old pictures, tho.

Now, due to the changes in the suspension, I drew attention to how much the game can now punish for hitting the suspension that exceeds its limit. On low cars with rigid suspension (F-Ultimate G2 and others), the bottom now regularly clings to the track, especially on bumpy tracks. Cars have become much less likely to "fall through" textures (or have stopped altogether) and, in general, strong bumps are felt sharper. I have a question, do developers follow trends and improvements in other Sims? For example, is a bumpstop implemented that does not shrink to infinity, as recently there was an update for ACC, and other improvements?
In order not to write a message again, I will also ask if it is possible to remove the input delay (up to 1 second when turning the steering wheel to the left / right) for those who control with the mouse (the mouse plus the gamepad is much better for those who do not have a steering wheel than the keyboard, fans of Live for Speed and some Raceroom racers will not let you lie, especially if the Adrenaline Pack update comes out with a pinch of drift =))

It doesn't "clutter" anything up to do the RC. It is just like doing an update to the game...

I don't think there is any debate over it...

Just mentioned it is a shame there is such a low hardcoded limit.

However, as someone mentioned above, there is another issue that make me wonder how AMS2 players intend on racing Le Mans: MP unreliability. I see a lot of hype for the track/event, but how are you guys intending on playing it?

Is there any league brave enough to give it a go? 24h of peer-to-peer bravery is something I would watch.

Or if racing offline, is everybody going to stick to sprint racing? 24 laps of Le Mans.

I believe it was mentioned here or on the discord that linear and infinite bumpstops were never a thing in PC2/AMS2

I am talking about the game, if you want to simulate a full real time 24h race, it's essential to have some way to save your progress so you can return to it later. Even a "shorter" 6 hour race would need it.
Very few people have the stamina and more importantly the free time to do such marathons.

I don't think it's hardcoded at all. It's a choice linked to MP stability and pit stall management AFAIK

I do not get this... what´s the point in saving an endurance race, especially when you want to simulate it...

Correct, I don't play online but yes, that's an essential feature.

So you don’t have to do the whole race at one time

Because as I wrote, most of us don't have the time to be 24h straight in front of a computer but still enjoy the challenge and simulation?

In 1949 Luigi Chinetti drove almost 23 hours of the race and in 1952 Pierre Levegh drove more than 22 1/2 hours .....

I just participated in a 2.4h of Le Mans in AC. That's a very good length to still be a test of endurance, but not absurdly long.

I once did an 8 hour race in ACC with driver swaps and really enjoyed it. I don't know if driver swaps are feasible with AMS2, but that would be a great feature, IMO.

There's still normal public MP, which imo isn't even half as bad as many people say. Platforms like RCO could create the 24mins of Le Mans, add a pitstop and it'd be tons of fun.
