this hotfix affected the Formula Junior as well I take it? I noticed a small update and then thought the FJ seemed a lot more “stable” at the rear as I was hotlapping Monaco and it seemed less eager to slide. Came here to see if there had been any physics updates.

It's always been a bit hesitant to rotate on entry. Think of it like an old Porsche, it either understeers or massively rotates. There's some level of forcing weight transfer that is required to get it to turn.

 

Thanks for sharing, it's nice to hear a reasoned opinion. I also want to say thank you to the person who shared GM's video a few pages back, watched it and came to the conclusion that I will never watch his content again.

Q1. does tyre physics works for each 6 tyres?
Q2. rear tyre telemetry UI represents which tyre? average?

He is a pretty biased AC fanboy, can't take his opinion seriously. He only does AMS2 videos to get views, as he knows AMS2 fans are pretty passionate about the game.

I do get a good laugh at his extreme fanboyism for AC and how he tries to be cool about it.

 

Exactly. I love AC as much as the next guy but AC's tire model can not hold a candle to AMS2 any longer. Take the RSS Formula Americas out and then run the F USA 23 and try to tell me it is better. The VRC version is closer but AMS2 version feels so much better especially around high to mid range speed corners.

Spot on...

AC with high downforce cars has always felt "numb" to me. Edit: with non-aero cars it feels nicely predictable and realistic (maybe "inoffensive" as a better word), but I never found the IndyCar mods to require the same playful inputs as what replays of the real car would suggest.

While I still questioned how playful some of the Retro and Classic F1 content was in AMS2, the USA 23 wheel inputs looks and feels like current replays from real races. This was always one of my big complaints of iRacing's junior formula cars, as you never see fast drivers fight the car like you would see from Indy NXT footage.
