Actually one of the times I watched LeMans 24H about 10 years ago then on the friday mandatory parade through LeMans town I saw some exciting electric racing/sports car prototypes participating in the parade.
And as some kind of show off they accelerated full power(?) frequently in the row.
And I have to say that if we are talking about a potent sound then it was the high pitched whine from these electric engines.
Absolutely not like electric sawmachines but more like a jet airplane testing the speading up of the engine.

ByTheWay: Pretty cool sound I must say - at least if we have to accept that the gasoline swallowing engines will be more or less dead in the near future.

 

Formal logic dictates the next statement then:

Power hammers make noise.
Power hammers are motorsport.

Motorsport is not just noise it’s also speed addiction

 

There are new electric sounds are comming from N..
Super sonic boom sound is interesting.

 

If even the manufacturers of electric cars make a fake noise for the satisfaction of the driver, it is a sign that they too know that motorsport is also linked to the sound of the engines.
A natural link that ignites memories for enthusiasts, such as the scream of the Ferrari v12 or the "concert" of the v8s.
Regardless of the jokes, someone "wants" that the electric car will be in our future and probably many will like it, but historically motorsport as we have known and loved it is above all linked to the sound of racing engines.In this world there is room for everyone, so those who love the electric hiss will be happy.

Reiza, is it not possible to release the amount of fuel for the starts for races with a closed setup? How can we already define the tires?

Or at least always brake with a full tank, because in the championships some drivers are starting with different amounts of fuel, it has happened that they started with only 1 liter and had to abandon the race.

 

Im not saying this just to contradict you - but if AMS2 is to be considered a sim - and drivers are to be considered a bit more than just casual gamers who doesnt really care - then they should be able to figure such a simple question out themselves.
Because just a short experimenting of averaging of how much fuel a car uses for a single lap is enough.

ByTheWay: I can still remember from my iRacing days that it was more or less mandatory that just seconds before an official race started a few "drivers" without qual laptimes joined the race asking: Somebody offering me a setup - please? And shortly after second mandatory question: How much fuel do I need for this race?

 

Does the Beta version have more cars than what was released in the V1.4.8.1 with the V1.5 physics updates?
