Oh and btw... the FV10 Gen1 feels ridiculously good now. So much more roatation on throttle, but not the twitchy kind like before. Loving it.

@XTRMNTR2K I'll answer you here because it's off-topic over there. I tried all that but I can't seem to make it work. Is there an explanation somewhere on how to make this work?

 

Mhh, are you maybe trying this in a F-HiTech Gen 1 car? I think none of them or only one of the models has Launch Control, but I may be wrong. All cars of generation 2 should have LC, though.

 

Yeah, I wasn't sure if both Gen1 + 2 have this feature. I'm sure somewhere in the Paddock Lounge thread it's all explained but I missed it. Thanks anyways!

 

No problem! I just checked the UI info, and sadly there is nothing about Launch Control, and I can't try it myself right now. But from what I remember, either none of the first generation cars had it or only the Model 2 (notWilliams) that also features the Active Suspension.

 

Yeah, the Dev update says only the Williams introduced launch control in Gen1. Well, problem solved I guess. Thanks.

 

The new sound work is fantastic, and I haven't even used headphones yet Well done everyone at Reiza involved in that!

 

Just a small suggestion on this fabulous update.

It would be great to include brief ‘what to expect’ advice in the notes, e.g.

(1) you will need to revert to or start with default setups IF THIS IS THE CASE - IM NOT SAYING IT IS

(2) cars will be easier/more difficult to handle in x conditions etc.

and so on.

Just the big stuff. Not every little thing.

This is what works for me. No pedal inputs until after you press and hold button.

Procedure for LC (take F-V10 Gen2 for test):

-Stop the car/stand still
-Turn to N(eutral) (no pedal inputs required)
-Hold Button (will also line-lock the car to standstill)
-Full Throttle
-Release Button
-LC start proceeds with autoshift until you lift throttle (or autoshift continues as set)

 

Am I missing something or Launch Control is slower than normal start? I've tried it in multiplayer lobby and everyone just blasted off, while I have lost 7 positions before T1 xD

 

Thanks! It works with the Model2. I couldn't remember from the dev update that Williams were the only team to introduce launch control at that time. So in Gen1 it's M2 (Williams) and probably all models in Gen2 then.

I think once you're off the line you need to shift into second gear as you're just reducing wheel spin with launch control

 

Thanks for the update Reiza! It seems the new update has solved the rear tires easily overheating on the Formula Inters and Formula Advanced Junior and Advanced. I'm loving the update so far. The few cars I have tested are so much fun to drive. Great work Team Reiza!

 

Here’s the last list I see in the Paddock forum. I look at the tach hud and if I don’t see LC then it’s not available.

• Added launch control pption for F-V10 Gen2, F-HiTech Gen2 (all models), Corvete C8 Z06, Mclaren Senna, RX cars

I’m glad that worked for you. It takes getting used to. And yes, I think Gen1 Willams is the only one with LC and not listed above.

 

It is an automatic--look at the shifter/console and number of gears. The Camaro SS is a manual, though.

 

Does anyone know what the realistic setting with Auto Gears in F-HiTech Gen2 is? Has to be 'full', no? Fully automatic up and downshifts.

 

Everything feels so connected, cars feel heavier. I can feel where you are in aero range and the car just moves, i can feel the pressure of the tyres and when it becomes too much.

Its all a very natural feeling and compared to the latest public build its an even bigger change for me than the change to 1.5
