While you guys wait for the new dev update, why not enjoy the 12 Hours of Sebring? For the vast majority of the world it is free on both YouTube and the IMSA website! The geo-blocks are the same as Daytona, so if you couldn't watch Daytona for free you sadly can't watch Sebring for free (unless you have a VPN).

 

ok, so we are getting a new F1 car apparently....nice but i kinda thought the focus was tintops and multiplayer, as well as the still remaining season pass content...guess we will need to wait for a bit to see what is coming

That looks niiiiice, model is far more accurate to real life current-gen cars than the 2022 one

 

Yeah, that new F1 car looks very similar to the McLaren MCL60, so its probably a new F-UltimateG3? Hopefully some older cars get some love as well, though I understand that the new F1 cars will attract more customers.

 

I don't really see a point in making a new f1 car, things haven't really changed much, my guess is that it's an update for the 2022 model

 

It does look awesome. i expected that a dev update would come in today what with Sebring that has been hinted at/promised... so I imagine it'll include something about that and a new F1 car. I mean, the physics can't have changed too much and it's only one car model, so it makes sense to keep modern F1 fans happy for relatively little dev outlay... I guess.

Yes, sorry, I just mean "this weekend..." really. I imagine the team might ALSO wanted to have Sebring ready for now so we could race and watch! Watching this IMSA race has me excited for a track I wouldn't have thought about otherwise.

 

It can be a companion car, but it looks too much like a 2023 car that it would be weird to have it with the much simpler and older looking current car. But they did add the Brabham BT49 with the older BT46B, so what do I know! But it wouldn't make much sense either to completely replace the current model.

It wasn't in Project Cars 2 so doubtful.
