Montjuic would be perfect for AMS2 given the quality of previous historic tracks. It's just a beautiful circuit, setting, and era. I'd also love to see a historic version of Long Beach, I keep seeing that Depailler clip and wonder how fun it would be to go full send down the hill in the Retro's.

Welll, I for one hope it's not a new Gen 2 class of the Formula Ultimate G2, but instead is different set of car for the same class. The regulations aren't different enough to warrant a new gen of Formula car, but the existing class could use a few more different models, a la formula classic - can't expect 10 - 14 different cars, but 4 or 5 is quite lovely indeed.

Just looking at that screenshot though, it still looks really generic - that floor needs a lot more details.

Since there is no F1 license, there will never be a license-quality replica of the real car(s). Only certain models of various past vehicles are "exact" copies.

I‘m sorry, this was misinformation from my side. As somebody else said before in this thread: It was a real (!) picture of the brazilian endurance series that showed a Ligier in the backround.
I have mistaken it for a teasing AMS2 Screenshot.

About the Twitter-Teaser: I‘m not really interested in a new Formula 1 car and I never did more racing in them than a couple of laps.
I‘m really hoping for more modern Endurance content, but on the other hand I wish that the available Lmdh cars would not have such a floaty feeling.

Cant say I care for modern formula 1 too, but for sure there are people here that love it, my brain cant even process that kind of speed.
About that floaty feeling of the LMDh, those cars look like quite a handful to drive in real life too, I cant say I feel they being floaty in AMS2, but they are hard to manage in corners since they are low in downforce and traction, very far from a LMP1 that were downforce monsters.

Hmmm, I was caught by your "floaty".... Actually I do not have that feeling.
But, as almost all cars, in my opinion the differential locking is too aggressive.
If you want, just a quick check, try reducing clutch plates down to 2 and give it a shot.
I feel it drastically changes vehicle behavior in all phases, and to me it makes it more natural and " Realistic" (To me of course).
I do the same to gt3s as well.
As example, check this video with the 992.
To me it feels damn planted (and also the lmh's).

At this point reiza should just change all setups to have clutch plates at 2, it solves most of the problems with the setups.

Maybe most people prefer it at 6.
I just don't get along with it... But far from me to say that default setups are wrong.
I just want to give a tip (that might not work) to those who feel the cars drfting and floating

I will definitly try that tomorrow, thanks for the hint!
I always feel like the cars in AMS2 are too floaty around small steering angles, it get‘s better the more you turn in.

Let us know how you find it then, just to check the userbase who feel better the low lsd clutches number.

I kindda doubt its the majority preference, everywhere i see it mentioned people sugest to bring it down to 2, but aside from that I think most default setups are good, especially after the latest physics.

I think you can have a more detailed model without the need of any license. Look at the quality model VRC AC | Formula Alpha 2022 and RSS Formula Hybrid 2022 put into their versions of today's F1 regs.

Yeah the VRC Formula Alpha 2023 is pretty much just the AMR23. The car in the screenshot reiza shared looks like its also an approximation of the AMR23 imo.
