Gave the Vintage G1 a go and even though its better they still need to find about 2 seconds to be competitive at high fuel or the player needs to lose 2 seconds going from 30l to 150l, right now I am losing only 1 second in the V8 model. I did a 1:30 in qualy which was even with some of the other V8's, on the race thought I was doing low 1:31's, while the AI did 1:33's This is the difference in pace at Monza 71, AI at 115%, high aggression.

How do you know what part of the difference is a result of the fuel load/mass versus tire grip degradation rates, differences in tire interaction with rubbering, or some element of AI programming (performance deg over time, if that exists, as it should)?

 

So no "Max Visible Vehicles Behind Player Car" Setting likely in the near future then? Unfortunately, I am not finding any of the "Max Visible Cars" settings particularly useful for me for night driving. I can have 30 cars in front of me at midnight, no problems at all, but any more than about 10 behind and it starts to have serious detrimental effect (VR).

No its not just you and we had this discussion a couple of weeks ago. Didn't go anywhere despite the fact we were told the shaders were being worked on and changes were being released, such discussion got shouted down by the usual suspects.

 

Well, for one it's one of the issues updated on today's hotfix.

• It's consistent on all tracks I have tested
• There's very little tire degradation on the Vintages and it's on the beginning of the race, so tire degradation is not a variable.
• Qualy pace is fine and competitive
• The longer the race the more performance they lose, because I assume a higher fuel load.

I am no developer so I can't be 100% certain, but it sure looks/feels like fuel weight is the issue!

Gt3 gen2 + lmdh at suzuka feel really good. Scraping at the back, lmdh doing a better job of passing slow cars more freely and the 992 feels really meaty. Also JPs v10 file is very good too.
