Automobilista 2 V1.5.6.1 RELEASED - Now Updated to V1.5.6.3

Regardless of whose fault it was for putting a 3, or even using the name "Project Cars", this game really hurts my heart.

Man it's so sad! And the worst part is that the tuning is something very "similar" to a Gran Turismo, but if it were combined with what was built in Project Cars 2... I don't even know what to say!

A lot of potential wasted! Something from a company that doesn't seem to understand that it was a niche game, it's not like a Grid game. Much like it was in the Need for Speed Shift series, it feels like a curse!

I heard that Ian Bell is creating the GT Revival, I don't know if that's true. I hope something good comes out, and optimized! I remember playing Project Cars 2 on my old 1050ti 4gb at 1080p! the game was beautiful on medium\low, it was just the textures that bothered me, but it was necessary to reduce it to make the VRam available for the game! haha

 

We in the sim racing genre are lucky to have dev's like Reiza, 397, Kunos, iracing etc .. that can fuel our passion for realism over arcade ..
The big publishers are only after 1 thing = $$$
You won't see any of your faves' on the "Big money list", although it's nice to see Kunos in the franchise list.

 

I just have to throw this out there, I really liked pc1 and 2.

Pc1 was among the first racing games that worked in vr (2016) and did a solid job of ffb for low end wheels. It looked pretty, had loads of cars/track and felt nice, same goes for the second. Pc2 and Ams2 still run/look the best in vr.

So often pc1&2 only get these kinda backhanded compliments, I think they deserve more credit.

Just look what Reiza were able to do with the engine.

 

While we are totally off topic right now....

...I am very intrigued by "the last garage" project...

....if they will maintain what they promised I think we can have a new serious contender, specially for multy and modding...

Reiza maybe need a wheelbase with FF force first

 

Since Fanatec is a sponsor of the game, I think that's the smallest hurdle. Even if they had to buy such a base themselves, it would be money well spent to implement such a feacher.

 

Will probably depend on how many users they will get who want the feature

 

I am hoping we will see a dev update sometime soon, waiting for what that "US Stock Car Gen 2" in the game files is going to be.

 

I wonder what it could be!?!?!

 

Well, the good news is that its a "gen2" which should mean there will be at least a "gen1" as well, now it just depends on what years of Nascar will be represented....

 

I am not a huge fan of NASCAR but did play ye olde EA Sports games from the PS1 and PS2 a lot, so hopefully if they come a couple more ovals are included as well, something that both NASCAR and Indy car raced in, like Michigan and Phoenix.
