I don't like the graphical changes that were made to wet track surface. Its a strange pattern on the road that makes no sense.
Puddles are nice. The fake puddles do not look good at all.

 

I have been running some of the pre-made custom championships added with the update. Why was random weather used instead of real historical weather? Was it just to add variety if people choose to run the championship again?.

Personally I would have preferred real weather to be the default.

 

BMW Art Cars you say. Stella's CSL has always been my favorite, along with the Warhol M1 and the Lichtenstein 320.

 

This was the main complaint with PCARS 2 career mode. Weather was always the same since it was handpicked instead of random.

 

That's very true actually , definitely spoilt the experience and replay ability.
Trouble is with the current random weather in ams2 is that it's too random , would love it if you had the option to set a percentage chance of rain or disable certain conditions altogether per slot.

Let me see if I understood it right: the tires "health bar" in the HUD represent 50% of their "life" and not 100%? Does that mean that whey they go black they're actually at 50% of their degradation, and not 0%?

 

As I see it, it shows the tyre life, but since the drop off isn’t linear it means you can’t license to it as 1% less tyre wear means 1% slower

 

Can anyone give me a date and hour the update will drop. I'd prefer minute accuracy if possible.

yes, correct, if you use a simhub overlay, that will show the "actual" value of your tyrewear

 

Actually, the wear indicators show the useful life of the tyre.
Once this is down to 0 you have used all the tread / hi grip layer of the tyre. You still have the carcass, but you won't get much grip from it.
If you use the simhub value, it does show the full thickness of the tyre, not just the usable part, and if it gets to 0 your tyre will go flat.
