oh i see. Figured they would stick with the current group for the new stuff coming later. Bloody shame though as it would be nice to have some input on the future updates

We don't fully say what should go in each update. IMO we do the same things as the normal forum, but maybe our voices are heard more. IDK if it's true, but that's how I see it. We also get to fix bugs which you won't have to deal with

AC was pretty bare bones and seemed like a half baked attempt to me. Kunos will have to provide a much more compete game this time round to be top of the pile. AC only gets good numbers due to the modding community. Do we know if AC2 will be moddable like AC is?

Its the conspiracy theory that Reiza is abandoning AMS2 for GTR Revival

In an interview, the creative director (i think) at Kunos did say that they will have modding support in AC2. Might be one of the reasons they went away from Unreal Engine.

ppl are speculating hard about AC 2, first it’s not trying to beat ams 2 it probably want to beat AC 1

ac 2 will release in early acess, we have very little information on the game

And like you said, AC1 is very barebones nobody actually play the vanilla AC experience because it’s not very good, it was the modding community that really shaped the game into what it is now

ams 2 already have its own niche dedicated players for people looking for unique content you don’t find in other titles like the Brazilian series, cars like the Brabham “fan car” and a great chunk of classic content that you won’t have in any other modern sim, as well as a fantastic single player experience even allowing offline championship of several unique classes

the only weakness really of ams 2 is right now the multiplayer that should receive improvements on the future and when it happens hopefully it gives a boost on the player count similar to what happened to rFactor 2 recently

I absolutely love ams 2, how it runs and how it feels on the hardware that I currently own (maybe my perception of both ams 2 and other sims could change if I get better hardware in the future with a dd wheel, better pc and who knows maybe even a vr or triple screen)

or the base AC game was so good that people wanted to mod for it and that just gave it longevity.

The BTCC game has been cancelled by TOCA so it is looking like Le Mans is going to be the last release from MG, if it happens. Their financials are released tomorrow, probably going to be another disaster of losses.

AC2 has also been delayed and will be released unfinished....

Back then it certainly reimagined how a driving simulator should feel and paired that with very decent graphics for the time that weren't hard on most PC's. Apart from that it has horrible AI, the most half-asses carreer mode known to man, a fiddly online system and barely any functionality, but is exceptionally easy to mod.

I mean the menu ui was so bad that the modders made a separate launcher just to not deal with it, the career is pretty bad, the AI is an issue that not even modders managed to fix yet, online also had it fair share of issues and let’s not forget that the vanilla don’t let you race at certain times of the day and didn’t have stuff like rain (both of which was introduced by the modding community)

honestly the modding community carried AC1 on its back, if it wasn’t for them I’m very sure that the playerbase of AC1 woulda been dead a long time ago

It will die when Ilja takes down the Russian server that everyone using Content Manager relies on. (acstuff-ru)

Did AMS 2 ever exist? Was it just a daydream I had playing a WRC stage?

(Only joking I drove the 2019 Stock Car at the Nordschleife yesterday :D I locked up a front tire so bad the car was pulling to the side for half a lap :p)

It certainly will be interesting to track it's development. I see that the Nordschleife is coming to ACC.

Most likely inability to deliver the game in agreed timescales.
