    Yeah I saw that too.
And as I interpreted it he knows the goofy replay system in AMS2 is a huge bummer for possible new customers.
But personally I find it hard to understand that it should be possible to save a dynamic track state mid race - but not quarter race and not third quarter race.
Hehe dont really know the correct english terms for this:p

Mid race is the term used to describe the ability to save a race while in it, not to be taken literally. So if you want to save the race in lap 10 out of 100, you are effectively saving it in the "middle" or while doing it. :)

Perhaps, time to sell the old wheel and get the cheap SimMagic, or Fanatec?

Just to do a test I often do some donuts on the cooldown lap and notice with all cars I have done this with that after a donut or two the car grips for a small amount of time and stops going in circles, it will then lose grip again and then do another donut. This is with TC off, is this normal donut behaviour?

It's a normal behavior... and don't forget "Donuts love doing donuts"

Experienced the same thing with super v8, the car abruptly stops rotating but the wheels keep spinning. Felt jarring.

Yeah, it seems a bit odd, would be interesting to get a devs take on it

I assume you are playing with the clutch in the process? If you don't do it, that will always happen, and it was this way before the update too.

No, it is a bug. The car literally jumps as if it went over a brick when downshifting at random. It never happened to me with the SuperV8, even when i drove them over a year ago.
EDIT: Plus it would make ZERO sense to have a car in a game that would have that happen if you did not apply the clutch, seeing as there exists wheels that come with pedals without the clutch, requiring you to always use auto-clutch.

That's the issue then, you cannot draw permanent donuts without foot play on throttle and clutch. It was this way before the update, and it is this way in other sims too.

No the issue is the excess of grip in the Super V8...

I have a clutch and can't flick spin the Super V8...

I have not tried donuts in 1.5 yet, but before, if I did not use clutch the car would stop after a circle, keep lighting up the rears, then begin another circle but moving forward, meaning that you can run out of room for it. And again, this happened at every sim.

It could be totally worse atm though. Will give it a go tonight with the Stock Car Brazil.

Perfect donut baked with auto clutch, a little brake force and berried throttle.
    ss165227.jpg

for super V8 my recipe is neutral, throttle to full, first gear and steering lock. it strats to do one and then all momentum from the rear feels like it is counteracted somehow and the car stops abruptly straight. also there is a strong jolt on the wheel ffb. Please try it as it does feel off.
Sauber C9, at least in first gear, the diff does not lock. you can see in replays one wheel lazily turning while the other spins up. Maybe? diff is too open?
