As is the case with any credible forum, users cannot self-delete...because the only reason to do that is under complicated circumstances and the admins and the rest of the forum members need transparency. Best to just leave and ignore the place going forward if you are done with it. On the other hand, you could just post normal messages like the rest of us and then come or go as you please.

You haven't understood that Reiza is a small studio with a large community that respects the work done by its developers.
If you're not satisfied, it's all the same. Goodbye

It seems people underestimate the complexity of these projects and Dicra pointed this out here perfectly.

Everything is connected and relates to one another, and adjusting things in one end will impact another (sometimes unwillingly) and this can cause a domino effect. AMS2 is one of the most complex pieces of driving simulation software available to the public, as it has lots and lots of layers that depend on one another, and inevitably it takes time and lots of fine-tuning to get things right.

Also consider that Reiza has half of the size of your typical game studio, and that they don't have a publisher to answer for so it means they can go overboard with their work - meaning sometimes (most of the times), deadlines are suggestions.

But to those worried or complaining about lack of updates/news. Don't be: see how tight deadlines and pressure can kill projects and deliver very problematic products (see how the gaming industry is faring at the moment).

True. I was really excited about the new Forza and oh boy, is that game unfinished. I mean, I can see the good game underneath and it shows where they focused their efforts (physics and multi-player), but not what you would expect from a AAA studio/publisher. That's why I'm respectful when Reiza doesn't meet their deadline (at least the ones they dare to disclose to the public). If a AAA game had to be 6 years in the works to be released unfinished(and let's not forget, it was postponed) imagine a game made by an indie studio like Reiza? Honestly the level of commitment of Reiza guys is insane. Really quality job when you consider the context that the AMS2 development is within.

Is the historic weather data built into the sim? Or does AMS2 need to be online to get the historic weather conditions.

I don't play AMS2 anymore since there are no more time trials, because it's essential for training.
I hope it comes back quickly

So he is training for F3 time trials by doing time trials? If he doesnt play AMS2 any more because there are no time trials, then what the hell is he training for because obviously the only thing he plays in AMS2 is time trials right because without them he no longer plays it?

In time trials, you can use killer setups which would ruin the car just after a few laps in both, offline and online races, when damage is set to max.
For training, you can start an offline race and just do the free practice session.

i never really understood the appeal of timetrials. Sure, there's skill involved too, but it's basically just qualifying for one or two laps with often unrealistic setups. Much more interesting would be options where you have to drive consistent lap times over, say, 10 laps. The average time would then be your timetrial time. Driving consistent laps is a key factor in (sim)racing. Many people can manage one or two fast laps when in doubt.
