Hi to all from Italy (Naples),
I downloaded the complete bundle on Saturday and I must say, that after an initial difficulty in setting up my T818 with SF1000 correctly, I am really enjoying this simulator. I come from about 1000 hours on ACC and about 300 on LFM , I know that AM2 has also been added to the aforementioned platform and these days I will try out the online a bit . The only thing I wanted to point out: the sound of the Cadillac LMDh doesn't seem true to me, I hear it more muffled . Is it my impression? Also , another small question , but can you set the IMSA season in single player ? I've tried the various presets too but can't find anything about it . For now I have created my own little league with LMDh and 5 races but I'd like to be able to run the full IMSA season with the relevant regulations . Thanks

 

I've noticed this across almost all tracks except road america and sebring but why are the timing lines much further up in so many tracks in comparison to their real life counterparts?

 

Feel dumb for not testing this out before.

Set your wheel deadzone to 10-15%. It's sooo much better and mimics AC a lot more with that gyro effect. You reduce some noise in the wheel and the FFB will be a lot more clearer.

Holy crap I love AMS 2 now, it feels really proper. Well worth the wait!!

 

What's your GPU? Are you running the latest driver version available? If yes have you tried to roll back some versions? If not, have you tried to update the driver?

 

Ok - I have reported it through the bug report thing on amds desktop app thing. Also done the same for pcars 2 and said its the same engine. If more people do the same it'd probably help

 

Don't hold your breath that this type of peculiar request will ever be addressed. If you want control of the clutch and to drive the cars properly, use authentic settings with a proper H-pattern controller and three pedals. If not, or if you can't for whatever reason use realistic controls, assume that everything will not be perfectly authentic. Same for the generic steering, ABS and TC aids that, by definition, cannot be realistic. They are there for enjoyment purposes.

 

Do you use mods (cars or tracks)?

 

The Gen 2 GT3 cars do not have pre-heated tires (as is now the real life regulation for that series). Colder tires have less grip. Much less in some cases. I am not sure if the Gen 2 GT3s have exactly the right amount of grip loss as compared to the real ones--it may be too severe--but just wanted you to know what you were experiencing. Therefore, the solution is to drive more carefully for the first few laps. You can also use a higher setting for the in-car TC and ABS, adjusting it just like the real drivers do (for wet conditions or cold tires). The default set-up can only have one setting, so by definition it will not be the best for all conditions.

 

Hello, will cars that have not been purchased, e.g. the Lamborghini GT3, be included in the race, but you can't drive them yourself? or do you have to buy all the cars to be included?

Cars have to be purchased. Tracks can be shared by a server.

 

That's by far the best description of AMS2 physics/tire behaviour I ever read and heard. Spot on and I also hope Reiza will still put some efforts into getting closer to what you pointed out.

do we need to complete all cars in the grid or it is enough to have one to enter the race as we do in iracing? I have 963 Porsche DLC for example, if there is Lambo or Alpine which i don't have DLC's will it be impossible to participate?

 

I have a Radeon RX6800.
It's a different thing with Manjaro Linux. Since its comes with rolling updates, you always have the newest updates. I wouldn't even know how to go back to older versions. If you use windows that wouldn't help you either, unfortunately. The only thing you could do is to install Linux on another drive (no other Linux than Manjaro tested on my side though) and use it for fotoshooting sessions. Or wait for AMD to fix the drivers.

Manjaro uses a radeon driver (amdgpu), which seems to be very stable and reliable. I very rarely had any glitches or even crashes. But one doesn't have the power of the control center, so its surely not for everyone.

 

you only need to own at least 1 car that is used on a server, so in your case, the Porsche is enough

 

Thanks. If i had 'realistic' hardware, that is a proper shifter, proper wheel and proper pedals (i have three pedals though), i would certainly go for the most realistic settings. But in my case i don't mind going a bit to the helpful side

Now that i think of it, it seems to work at race start, where i can use the clutch to release the first gear until green. Strange, i have to look into it again.

If that doesn't work, click at the top of screen - the helmet icon, your name U 1500 - bit, and then on the right hand side "edit info" will let you set name and nationality.

 

Click on your name to right of Credits, click Edit Info in right corner, change your Nationality and click Save.
