These, for me, are the standout cars of the new DLC, fantastic work

I had two lfm races at night on Road America with the Oreca on weekend and it was a fantastic experience. I had a battle with a guy when two other people began hunting us. That's where i broke down (maybe my nerves aren't the best), missed a breaking point and crashed into a wall.
    Game over :)

    Great stuff!

I don't play multiplayer, maybe once long ago, so figured I'd change mine from the default UK while you guys were reminding me. Here's where Edit Info is.

Which brings up this dialog where you change it.

I might say a blasfemy here but with this new update I found easier to transition from AC to AMS2 in terms of driving style with a Formula car. I can now need much less effort to translate what I do in AC into AMS2 and viceversa

That said, there is a long standing bug in multiplayer, where it will use the wrong flags for you ... :)

On the main screen when you load AMS2, top left, click your name. That brings you to the other screens. You don't need to be online to do it.

Mods can often cause issues like this, so I wanted to rule that out. Have you done a verification of files in Steam? And renaming your AMS 2 folder in Documents (which will require setting everything up from scratch again...but hopefully not have to keep doing it over and over again)?

In quali I start with cold tyres, something around 35-40C and you can feel it quite obviously the first few corners. Then you probably need 2 laps to properly heat them up.

I noticed in the race I start with tyres heated to around 55-60C which gives quite different overall behaviour of the car. Taking into account that track conditions also improved during the 2 sessions..., but still I feel them quite loose.

I was referring to the Windows drivers. If I understood correctly, the issue only happens on Windows and you've tested it by doing the same thing on a Linux system.

This video really showcases how phenomenal the AI really is. Good stuff Reiza team!

My experience with 1.6 so far:
    • Driving feel is definitely different- I was mortified to load up the Corvette Z06 GT3 and feel that dreaded “caster” feeling a lot of people have complained about, and had some issues driving in rain and other situations - but turning up my Low Force FFB brought things to where they should be. Everything feels responsive and tight now.
    • BRAKING - far and away my biggest takeaway, the braking is so much better now it’s hard to even believe. Before I had my FFB dialed in I was also sailing through corners because I was used to the twitchy, temperamental way the brakes used to respond. I felt like I had to be light as a feather previously to avoid a stint-ruining flat spot, but now I’m able to step up the brakes by a few ticks and get aggressive.
    • I’d just be echoing everyone else’s input on the new content. Sebring, Mosport and Road Atlanta are such welcome additions and I missed them a lot. Really enjoying the LMP2s, and really excited to finally start a DTM/Group A ‘90s championship with the Audi Quattro. :D
    • Second to the common “slidey” complaints in frequency are people who think AMS2 is “too cartoony,” and I was a little worried hearing about the graphical improvements coming to 1.6 that Reiza had foolishly taken them to heart. but honestly the new graphical improvements are really nice! I will say the rain effects are still a little troublesome for me, and I’ve had to turn them off.
    • Cars have drivable oval setups now! So glad that was fixed.
    • The AI Mistake settings are such a welcome addition - I know it’s hard to do, but I’m excited to see how it plays out over a whole custom championship, where my biggest problem has been that the player is almost always the only driver at risk of a race-ruining DNF. I already set a lot of my custom AI to be prone to mistakes and it’s nice to see that ACTUALLY reflected now.
    • I still have yet to run a championship, but Im putting them together at the moment and will report back with any issues.
