Hello i have a question to the devs.

Can we expect quickly a option to save Replay at any time in MP

Beacause a Guy ran into me i got many issue.

With damage model very good you are easily braking a suspension or rear wing

    - No possibility to tow the car like i racing
    - Going slowly to go in pits in the grass leads to many off tracks penalties
-You have to wait the whole race to save replay

So it leads to a situation where people do crazy moves and people loose safety rating ans can't report

I just registered here to say thank you to the developers for the hard work done for 1.6.
AMS2 has been my favorite Sim for Tarmac Racing for about 1 year now but usually I don't race for hours after a long day doing IT stuff... ;) Those LMP2 cars are so satisfying to drive... I felt a huge improvement when dancing on a thin rope with the Sauber C9, too. The new tire model also allowed me to decrease the volume of tire sounds as that was my orientation for the correct brake pressure before locking up the tires. Now I can somehow feel the sweet spot which is great. Just one more car/track combination for tonight, I promise.

Ha ha. rF2 doesn't even have a proper modelling of the clutch, so of course it works/anything works there.

But the main point is just that I don't know how any game can know when you want authentic versus not authentic settings for sub-sets of what is actually authentic and adjustable in the game?

Someone might want ABS only when it's raining because they have low skills on wet tracks. I don't expect a game to accommodate that if there is already proper ABS modelling in the game that I can turn on or off or to realistic levels. At some point, you have to pick your poison. And one of those poisons is that if you cannot use realistic controls, or have them but prefer not to use them, you have to compromise.

Loving the update. Love how you can have that casual 20 minute race and then get on with your day. For some reason, it feels empowering, like a circle being closed. I could not drive the classic Mini before the update. Just won a SP race at Cascavel, battling AI the entire time. Empowering.

There are a few minor bugs like gear ratios not really showing up in set up though no problem on track. The LMPs and Audis sound muffled, but no worries on Reiza taking whatever time to fix them.

I'm looking forward to AC Evo, but I don't see any merit in driving AC anymore. Couldn't find the time anyway!

With my problem it'S quite easy i think, just allow the clutch to happen.

Edit: i just tested it again, and its working, i dont know what was wrong...
Pressing the clutch with a gear on disconnects it properly (at least in the bmw lmph on a training day on interlagos).

    Might it be car dependant?

    False alarm i guess :)

I was just going to test this and you saved me the trouble. Sometimes all it takes is a restart of PC or game to fix these things. Glad to hear it's working now.

What cars are the most improved in your opinion?

So far, for me it is the Mini Cooper, F-inter and Group A. The Audi is my goto so far, but the M3 drives much better. Sideways seems the best approach with that one.

I think perhaps the clutch could be done so that when any "clutch" pedal activity is detected beyond dead-zone, it disengages "auto clutch". This obviously is just how the game might detect the difference between when you want auto-clutch or not.. Not suggesting it's easy to implement in the existing engine itself.

EDIT: DOH.. sounds like it works in AMS2 anyway :) Should read all posts before replying I guess

Yesss! All of them classes I barely touched in 1.5
Besides the fantastic new content(lmp2 is next level awesome!), re-visiting and dusting off long forgotten classes was the real hype for me.
So glad I can report that Cadwell Park is now officially re-opened for me...(and Hock short '88 for the group A)
The cool thing is that nothing has changed radically, rather given the love and attention it needed to get things to really shine and feel proper and honest.
I drove all of the above classes 1.5 style and spun within 2-3 corners.
Having to apply restraint and discipline never felt so good...
That F-Inter especially, it's extemely planted until it's not. So, so good!

I'll give it a go after work but curious what this setting addresses - does it add a slight deadzone or remove the deadzone?

Yeah, pretty amazing that 1.6 enhances what we already know. Everything feels as comfy as a pair of favorite broken in shoes. Going to take months to get up to speed!

I"m really enjoying seeing all the different things people are paying attention to. The thing i noticed that was the most immersive, which honestly has removed one of the most jarring things in the game before, is the AI mistake behaviour. FINALLY instead of randomly spinning in places where sometimes it barely makes sense, I see them braking too late after the straight, spinning at elevation changes, and generally doing all the silly things I do when I get it wrong.

Honestly made it feel so much more realistic - I don't know how you designed it but it has made things even more fun in single player.

So by default there is no deadzone in the wheel in this sim, meaning when you have your wheel centered there is always forces in the wheel but they don't really tell you anything you need to know and its just ends up being noise.

Now with the a deadzone in place the wheel in the center will be a little dead and calm, but once you actually start turning in and feedback from the wheel starts kicking in it will be a lot sharper and clearer on whats going on.

I'm not sure i explained it correctly but I think overall its less muddy and more clearer on the feedback you actually is interested in, and this feeling is more aligned with how its setup in AC if you like that.

For me this change and 1.6 has made this sim really damn amazing right now!

Hell yeah!! No one mentioned it but AI mistakes are a lot more believable now. Before they could just lock up on the staright, just looked dumb.

Now they overrun corners or just lock up on breaking. It feels so alive.

While we are at it. AI mistakes could be turned up to 10x-15x to really give that online experience lmao.

That's an interesting find, could definitely see this being useful with the default + which I find way to reactive on my dd. I have been able to tame it with dampening at base or game but then it's no more detailed than default.

And I also don't see the AI mistakes rate on custom championship.

Someone knows if these new features will come to custom championships?
