Wow!! what a fantastic update. The super trophy trucks are superb, everything about them is great, the sound, the way they move, and AMS2 FFB as never felt better, I take my hat off to everyone that worked on them. I had no interest in these trucks, but after trying them they are my favorite thing in the game!

Performance updates seem great too, I never noticed much, if any of a jump in FPS but the game seems so much smoother even in tricky conditions with rain and headlights. I hardly noticed when my frames did drop.

Those CPU optimizations you did ACTUALLY WORK !
Ryzen 7 3800x, previously it was impossible for me to have 48 cars on track, massive fps drops, basically unplayable. Now i tested 48 cars at Interlagos at night, at 16 cars rendered though, it was basically SMOOTH !

Nice for new content and optimization, but for Lola T98 and B2K they have incorrectly modeled frontal nose and rear spoiler also.

I'm not sure if it's the refined FFB or the improved physics, but GT cars have never felt better. The FFB feels smoother, with less graininess, and the connection to the car is significantly stronger. I feel like the studio has finally achieved what they envisioned with version 1.6. Very, very pleased with this update! Good job Reiza ;)

Your probably getting Good performance with your set up already so you wont Notice signifigant gains.... I have Ryzen7 98003xd with Asus 4090 Tuf OC Edition I didnt see any gains playing @Full 4k all GFX settings Maxed....

My Question is How Much will this 4 core usage benefit VR? I have a Vive Focus Vision but havent tried VR today yet.

    Curious as well
First drives of lmp2 and gt3 appear to give an improvement in connecting to the track

Is it possible that the Super Trucks react to throttle and brake inputs during jumps, already in the air? If you accelerate, they tip backwards. If you brake, they tip forwards.

Well they certainly should do that, it's the gyroscopic effect of the rotating engine. Rally drivers do it to make landing smoother from big jumps. I remember Richard Burns talking about it when RBR came out years ago.

Anyone else experienced the weirdness when the Super Trophy Trucks hit the road at around a 45 degree angle they randomly come to a dead stop for no reason ? Also yesterday in an open lobby had multiple instances of players crashing and flips causing them to get stuck in walls.

I’ve had some issues with landings indeed

I love racing the STT at Laguna Seca, trying to nail the jump across the corkscrew!

I've tested the super trucks, they're well made but they're not for me. The steering is too sharp and it's hard to tame these beasts. I appreciate that we're given a test period. The ramps are a good idea, do you know if other cars can use them ? without turning over lol. I tried the RX but it wasn't conclusive.

I tried the RX Citroen. It can take the jumps, but you have to brake a little bit just as you're about to hit the ramp. No idea about other classes. Trying some silly combinations is on my TODO list.

As a slight surprise, the RX AI can actually take the jumps without issues, at least on the RBR STT layout. I wouldn't expect too much work has been put to balance the exact behaviour and pace for most classes on the STT layouts though.

Yes, I noticed that too: the AI on RX cars works very well on ramps. For the player, much less.

Yup, the steering lock is very high and unfortunately fixed, which is bad news for digital inputs as it is far too twitchy.

Wheels have rotational inertia and they are very heavy in the STTs so there are considerable forces shifted if you accelerate / brake mid-air.

It is accurate to the vehicles these are based on, but we should inded have included a range of adjustment to slow down the steering ratio keeping in mind digital or gamepad users in particular; will be amended on a hotfix.

Runs nice. Just waiting for karts drivers rendering at distance, and this thing will be almost perfect in VR. Great work, as usual.

So for controller players, we can expect more progressive steering? Sorry if the term is not appropriate.
