I had driven every Reiza class, and every addon mod also (Some mods are terrible! Some are either quite good or even great!).
I prefer early car classes as that is the type I raced - raw and highly NON-technical, LOL!! No TC, No ABS, no real engine mapping/changes.. or often not even ANY changes (suspension or anything!). What I consider were cars that you had to know how to drive/race, with real skills, versus the much simpler(????) GT3 or F1 of today. YOU had to drive the car/balance you had, and MAKE that work optimally!
Though I am sure F1 is actually still a very highly skilled class, just not in the same way as 1970's F1 for example.

One of my favorite types are F1 1970 (even maybe 67/68 onwards) to F1 1986 (about that)..... pre TC.... or even Group C monsters..... anything with 'on the edge skatiness', and excessive power you need to harness.

Mind you, getting ANYTHING to lap the fastest it can is still a rewarding thing to do.... well anything where it is able to leave the track if not handled very well !! (thus the challenge when fast)

I will go for a drive in the LMP2's (around Spa for testing)..... I more went for the LMH's for a while, and esp the Porsche EVO (which is a Mod I think?) for Norschleife lap challenges. (only got down to 5min21 for that - but even that is insane!... I forget what the record was, but I was a fair way short).
And I will take a GT3 to Nordschleife soon, for the fun of optimising that......

There's a clear benefit of having GT3 and the volumes - it brings Reiza more money and with that more development funds and increased licence budget.

    I see that as a win-win scenario.

i mean, having GT3s means I get to reenact races from my favourite series, the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar championship, or British GT, or most of the Blancpain GT series, or a lot of modern DTM, or the Bathurst 1000, or any of the other series that the cool racing drivers that I like take part in and that I would want to pretend to be in. No other racing game allows you to do all of these unless you mod it up the chuff. It might still be a racing sim without them, but it wouldn't be a very good Motorsports Simulator (the explicit aim of the game). But I understand the sentiment.

I remark explicitly that you can replicated _the entire_ British GT series trackwise and car wise.

Just a friendly note for discussions around physics to please observe the changelog to confirm if a car has indeed been updated as even though a large number classes running on high performance slick tires did receive adjustments, not all have - the Brazilian Stock Cars, Super V8 & GT5 being some that have not changed at all since the previous update, and the same is true for classes with semi-slicks, street or vintage tires; any perception of a change is either just placebo or a sign of a problem somewhere which can be anything from controller configuration or indeed some bug as turned out to be the case with cars equipped with DRS in some cases behaving as if the flap is stuck open (which is soon to be hotfixed).

I have to ask. In which classes of real world car/bike are you a world champion? And likewise, e sports?

Yep, they don’t seem to be able to go beyond a very narrow view of the game or the content.

Man be fair to the GT3 class. Some of the biggest 24h hour races are done with them (Le Mans, Spa, Nürburgring, Daytona) and here in Germany alone there a 3 major racing series that use GT3 cars (DTM, GT Masters & NLS). There are more in Europe, if you add things like the Porsche Cup and Super Trofeo the numbers maybe even double.
GT3 cars are best of both worlds: They are not too expensive for privateers, but expensive enough to be considered by the big names. They are easy and save enough to drive for gentlemans and hard and fast enough for the Pro drivers.
To me it comes naturally that these cars are also on of the main attractions in sim racing.

    Yes, I'd love both!

But since I'm exclusively a multiplayer driver, I notice that most of the historical drivers are almost exclusively single-player, and unfortunately, in my opinion, they've steered the entire simulation in the wrong direction from the start. What a shame! Only now, after almost four years, is AMS2 on LFM where it should have been long ago.

And there, almost exclusively modern vehicles are driven, like in almost all well-known online series and platforms. Hence my comment: more modern series, since there are enough historical ones.

I like modern and old(er) cars and if I could choose I would love to see some older GP2/F2 cars and a more modern F3 variant (one with Halo).
A 2006/07 spec F1 car would also be very nice.

I tried to race AMS2 in LFM, but my FPS drop from 200 to stop-motion in those races, so I never bothered with it again.

In the new update the AI seems to behave very good, when I have trouble with them than it‘s always me going wild on them, dive bombing, braking late, lean against them etc..

an f2 car would be seriously desirable for any career-type mod(e).

I think quite a decent proportion of the AMS2 player base see it mainly as their go to single player sim and aren’t that interested in the multiplayer side.

@PeterV Honestly is just sounds like your force feedback is setup wrong and you get some light steering where it shouldn't. I just tried AMG GT3 on Spa, standard setup with slightly reduced rearwing and got a 1:26,5 even though I had two big mistakes in the lap. The nvidia recording somehow stopped before my lap though, you can find my ghost at #17 of AMGs or something like that. The car felt so planted, rotation through breaking was great and very precise. Going on throttle pretty much understeered the car on exit instead of overrotate. Of course rear is slightly loose with low aero

Maybe try Danielkarts V6000 FFB if that works for you. Since I don't want to capture this topic with GT3 stuff, I will test more cars which got tires updates next. In the end different people on different setups might feel different about 1.6.5, I don't think arguing without any clips will bring this discussion any further

Renato are there any plans to update the tires on the remaining cars? GT5, G40 Cup, etc.

First of all - great to hear about the update and the coming content, after a bit of silent stretch. I would be rly interested in some news about career Mode, but as always will be patient

And leave the Peter guy alone - just his way of writing things tells a Story which (to me) clearly signals - nah I am not interested in any discussion neither do I reflect on things nor can I comprehend the meaning of subjectivity because I am on a quest to be … Yeah what exactly Peter?

everyone to his/her own and this counts towards online/Single Player too @Robert Geerke
