I had the same issue Riccyj. Mine was stuck at around the 91% mark for quite a while. Cleared DL cache, restarted Steam same as you... Just had to wait it out in the end. Took its time but got there in the end.

I'm away from the PC for the next couple of weeks - can anyone give me a tantalising description of the new fixes (tyre carcass behaviour?) and maybe a screenshot or two of the new lights on the GT3s just to tide me over? After the magic that occurred in the last update with the subtle FFB fixes that made the game way better to drive I'm now aware how understated some of the update reports can be relative to how they actually feel.

Edit: After writing the comment I went on youtube and saw that RacingLegend1234 has made a video doing exactly this <3 but any other commentary will be appreciated

Maybe important to add: so to fix z-fighting/the flickering the solution is to simply create a bit more distance between the two objects.

In the case AMS2, there's a lot of z-fighting/texture flickering going on especially at many advertisements. The only way (that I know) to fix that is to simply create a bit more distance between the advertisment and object behind it. Since a racing game is fast, the added distance won't be visible because of the distance to the viewer and the speed of the car(so it doesn't matter if the advertisment slightly "floats"). But since there are a lot of objects/advertisements in the game, it's a lot of work to fix that, because they need to be done/fixed one by one.

This is great update. I love the way the GT cars have a little more feel and bite.
There is no mention of the Lambo Super Trofeo having been adjusted. Is there any plan do to the same to them?

    Hey Rob,
any infos about when we are able to choose the headlight color with our custom liveries? Maybe I have missed that information. Will it be a texture to change or something in the customAI.xml? Are other colors for the different lights possible? For example a different color for the fog lights of the AMG GT3?

    Thank you!

I was happy to see this new update for my favorite simulation!
I saw on this forum that some people had encountered problems with this update using Steam, but I was confident, so I launched Steam to apply this update... I should have waited!
I too received messages like "disk error" or "missing files"... I followed the recommendations like "empty the download cache," but nothing worked: my AMS2 is now unusable (it won't launch anymore, it asks for an update that Steam seems unable to complete...).
I don't think Steam is the problem because, at the same time, the latest LMU patch installs without any problems...

Don't know if anyone else has had this issue but I've had zero problems running this game at a locked 90 frames per second over triple screens period.

However after this morning's update I've noticed on LeMans using the Lamborghini lmdh starting at the back of a 24 car grid the first lap was a smooth as butter the minute I crossed the start finish line on lap 2 the frame rates halved to 43-44 frames a second and would not recover, never happened prior to this patch.

All files verified and zero issues there. Performance monitor shows CPU and GPU nowhere near the limits so it's not related to that in fact they are as consistent as they've always been.

Can you check if you are also experiencing this issue alongside the performance drop?

When I tried to update the game on Steam yesterday I was notified that I had insufficient harddrive space available (about 22GB at the time).
I moved some stuff over so that I now had 48GB free, but apparently that is also not enough.
Deleting Steam's download cache doesn't solve the issue either and now I see posts both here and on the Steam forum that even players with 95GB and 120GB space available are getting into trouble.
Is there something to be done on Reiza's side or will the only solution be to go the uninstall + full reinstall route as mentioned above?
I'd rather avoid that as I'm limited to 100Mb/s download speed due to a silly cable routing/connection issue on my end.

Since the latest tire update, I’ve noticed an overall improvement in grip, cars feel more planted.

However, in low-speed corner exits (mainly with GT3s, and even more so with the P3), I’ve felt that the rear takes slightly longer to settle when getting back on throttle. It’s not aggressive oversteer, but more of a floaty slide or delayed re-alignment before the car fully tracks straight again, often requiring a more noticeable steering correction compared to before. Sorry if I'm not clear, I'm not sure how to describe it.

Just wondering if others have experienced something similar, and whether this is an intended part of the new behavior.

While updating even though i had 95 gb free I ran out of disk space. Had to do a full reinstall which took about 4 hours ! not so good.

For Steam updates you roughly need as much free space on your gaming disc as the folder of the sim is using. Meanwhile AMS2 has been growing to some respectable size, so it might be that Steam asks you for some 120 GB or more of free disc space.
