Thanks, I hope they are either separated in different classes or the Championships adapted to selecting individual cars and points or something like that... otherwise it does not make any sense doing championships with this class

Excellent updaye. The Ligier class (both cars) is such a joy to drive. Not too grippy, not too lethal - it's a great series to provide exciting racing. I hope they'll be split into separate classes so standings will be per car and it'll be possible to pair them with a different other class.

I've also just noticed that Racelogic box in JSP4 shows a realtime delta now instead of the current lap time. Which is great as the only delta available (with no HUD) was on the per-sector basis on the wheel dash.

    First impressions of the update:
    • The patchnotes really undersell the physic changes. This is huge! LMDh always felt like you're driving on razors edge with a risk of snapping at the rear when pushed too hard. Now they are so planted, drove the V-Series R across Laguna Seca and it was a blast to just fly through the corners. It feels like the GT3 HD are also effected by this and feel more planted at the rear too. Pushed the Corvette and Porsche across some tracks and overthrowing a corner always resulted in just going too wide instead of stepping your rear out.
    • With the patchnotes describing it as rear aero cut off on yaw rotation (going into corners), I'm quite sure this is the key point that people described as "slidy feeling" in AMS2. It definitely feels like cars have much more aero in corners now.
    • The AI overhaul is huge too. The AI really improved in door to door battles, I had not a single occurance of the strange keeping stuck at your door behaviour that pushes you both out of track, instead on contact the AI tries to foucs on getting back to their line afterwards.
    • Before this patch contact with AI somestimes felt like you hit a brick and your car got overly punished for the contact, now it feels much more understandable how a contact affects your and the AIs car.
    • Another huge change to me is that AI levels really seems much better streamlined now. I tested GT3G2 with AI at 110 on Spa, Spielberg and Mosport. For Spa this was always my go to value and it felt as before with the AI pace being pretty much at my pace. In Spielberg the AI was always really slow, so I was pleasantly surprised that they now put up a great race and were at my pace. And for Mosport I always felt they were too fast, I was also really happy with their new pace that matched mine really well. Of course this needs more testing, but so far it seems like juggling with AI difficulty for each track in a class isn't as necessary anymore.
    • Ligier JS P4 is a beast, was really surprised how much oversteer this thing has on throttle. Will be fun to learn driving this.

Interesting. I’ll be curious what others say about this. I would assume Reiza would make a bigger deal about fixing the biggest complaint people have about AMS2.

I don´t think we usually downplay or overplay the significance of physics updates - the bigger tire model overhauls typically gain more lines because there is a lot more detailed work involved and the impact on the simulation is never going to be insignificant; but we also know a "minor" adjustment can be very significant as well if it is the adjustment a given area of the physics or of a specific car needed.

With that said physics changes such as this affect different cars in different ways and it will be perceived by different users differently, and sometimes not at all; we can explain what was objectively changed, but trying to foresee what that subjective perception will be is trickier to do ;)

    Possible Bug.
After the update, saved custom championship matches won't start. This is happening with F-Classic Gen 2, 3, and 4 championships. This issue doesn't occur with an F-Retro Gen 2 custom championship.

Are all the Ligier JS P4 liveries supposed to use the default driver suit and helmet? I would assume not.

Woaaah, Tried GT3 GEN 2 today at Barcelona and the feeling when turning the car in a corner is completely refreshed for me, Such a cool feeling of stability. So different to before.

That minor change definitely has a major impact to my driving enjoyment. Big win for Reiza once again

I tried going back to the previous build from the "Beta" option and my saved F-Classic championships still won't start :( I guess something broke after the update, because I wasn't able to play them until this morning

I don’t know if it is a placebo effect but the physic of the gt3 gen2 is very better. I guess with 330h, i might be right. And woaw, the AI are so much more alive. They really battle, it seem they won’t bump you anymore. And this is huge. What more annoying then a race scrap because the AI bump you side way. This update is almost as good as 1.6. And it seem you will continue to improve it. Big thanks!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I am not the typical overpositive fanboy usually.

Fantastic update! The long-mentioned issues of GT3 and classic formula cars skidding and losing control have all been resolved. Especially at Daytona's T1, I no longer crash into the wall and can enjoy the game happily. Thank you, hardworking developers. In contrast, LMU next door shows utter disregard for equivalent single-player content, while your attitude toward AI and game content is incredibly serious and responsible. This is exactly where my fun comes from—I don’t particularly enjoy online racing. What I want is excellent AI and rich single-player content. I will continue to follow you and hope you keep updating. Take my money!

I hope that the Ligier class can be separated in the future. That way when running a championship, class scoring can be used. Also to customize the grid with how many P4 and JS2 R you would like to have (within the available liveries).

Ok it's really just not my imagination, the GT3s really changed a lot with this update. You can easily try it yourself by going for a track with the HD variant like Spa and then drive a a track like Monza where you have the LD car. It becomes really obvious how much more glued to the ground the HD variant is while the LD is the same as before.

Really appreciate all the work Reiza is putting into this and drop such great Updates out of nowhere

@Reiza: Could you maybe look into adding a tiny bit of the rear aero yaw rotation changes to LD variants too? Of course LD isn't supposed to be as stable as HD, but it think they would benefit of a bit of the recent adjustments too

Now everything is ready—time to start a true endurance race. Deleting LMU requires just one feature: race saving.

Saw it too... Renato's keyboard can't keep up with the breakneck pace of recent releases!
