Since we got Formula-Vee Gen2 instead of just updating the season of it and the GT3 gen2, is more likely to get a new car instead of update a class to change the car (the only updates that i see in class is just to upgrade models or add more cars)

That'd already justify trying the hard tire. (What you also did)

Btw. hards also get hot, it's not like the hards will be much "cooler", it's more that they're standing hotter temps and start working with them instead of giving up like a soft tire would. (Operational temp window is higher in particular)

Having seen this comment, I decided to give the new DLC content a break (although it wasn't easy :D) and try this for myself. I haven't tried the M1 Procar in ages and last time I did it was indeed "tame, boring and understeery". What a transformation. Its exactly as you describe.. Absolutely awesome fun fanging this around Imola or Jerez.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Short question:
At this image cars like the Chevy, Dodge and maybe others have their additional headlight on.
How to get them working? Maybe I missed something but the last time I drove them these lights didn't work.

You may have to select 'Hamster Mode' in the settings, it's a new, undocumented feature, that makes the cars look a bit more like hamsters.

    Great update guys.

Any chance of getting some championships for the 2005 stuff?

(If I make my own i'll just select the same old tracks :D )

Unfortunately, it's currently impossible to turn them on manually. They turn on automatically at night and in rainy weather

I dont know if its been said here, but I think LMP2 05 AI needs some balancing, its way too close to LMP1 05 and is the hardest AI to keep up with in this update, if there is something that justify that I would like to hear it :), meanwhile I edited the custom AI to lower their pace

The LMP2 cars were right on the heels of the LMP1 cars. Plus it wasn't uncommon in this era around 2005 for the GT1 cars to actually finish races before all of the LMP2 cars. The racing was a lot more closer than what we're used to today. Do yourself a favor and look up the race results for ALMS 2005 season.

Just checked 2005, 12 Hours of Sebring ALMS. And you are correct looking even at just the top 17 finishers of the race. sebring 2005 12h.png

I just want to comment that it seems like AI is on the right track this time; the adjustments were very noticeable, at least in F-ultimateGen2. Blue flags, pay more attention, and the accelerations are more realistic, and it seems that the change in pace, whether due to battery or tire temperature, is also noticeable, at least for me. They no longer maintain a full-speed pace for a long time. I would like to think that a tire temperature logic is being used. I also noticed better behavior in dirty air, but that is just my personal subjective opinion.

Yeah but still the report is correct, LMP2 05 AI is currently too quick against player calibration. It's known and will be looked at.

I'm a monitor person and have decided to go back to MSAA, I tried TAA with 250 sharpening and it was still blurry like in other games when looking into the distance, never liked it in those and don't like it here now I have decided.

It's actually way too bright/glowy IMO. There's no different between break on/off. It's like if the car is always breaking.

Aren't the brake lights up on the vertical pillars of the rear wing?

Yes exactly, but I have to admit that the "A" shaped lights are way too bright now, I'm fixing it right now

It would help of we could use FXAA alongside TAA. In the trucking sims I use a mod called snowymoon. With that I can use them combined which gives a good clear image and great anti-aliasing.

At the moment in AMS2 whichever option we use it improves certain aspects and worsens others, so we are basically where we was.
