Last time I tried reshade it kept crashing AMS2, maybe there as been an update?

I will try the NCP. Although I have tried in the past to improve the anti-aliasing in AMS2 with NCP with no success.

Automobilista 2 V1.6.8.6 is now live - this is a complementary update to address a couple of CTDs detected with the latest release & add some immediate content fixes & improvements.

As of this update the tracks and cars from the new 2005 Historical Pack are available only to those who buy the DLCs.

    V1.6.8.6 CHANGELOG

    • Fixed CTD in setup load/save screens when the current vehicle has a large number of setups saved
    • Fixed CTD when switching between cars in the showroom with LOD fades enabled
    • Changed default TAA Sharpening setting to 125 for new profiles

    UI & HUD
    • Corrected help box position of Graphics & Performance screen
    • Adjusted Le Mans 2005 HUD trackmap for better visibility

    PHYSICS

    • Lola B0540 LMP2: Minor adjustment to diffuser Center of Pressure; Correctly assigned Low Downforce variant to Low Downforce tracks

    • Calibrated simulated AI lap times when skipping practice / qualifying for new 2005 Endurance classes
    • AI aggression & blue flag adjustments for Road America, Road Atlanta
    • Snertterton (all layouts) Extended distance AI needs to run to bring cold tire up to temperature (if class does not use tire warmers)

    • Fixed bad loop on engine starting sound for: Courage C60 and Dallara SP1

    TRACKS

    Hi Renato,
Thank you and the team for this quick update but what about Lola's LMP2 gearing issue when @autogear?

I have to say, the new DLC cars and track have somewhat shaken my excitement for PMR. At this point, I’m only interested in their upcoming career mode. When it comes to physics, cars, tracks and AI, I’m really satisfied with AMS2, last update reignited my enjoyment of the sim. Great job to the devs, and a big thank you, it’s truly fun!

It seems like the setup list still shows all setups from all tracks under one list

    Hi Renato
Thank you for developing the game
I'd like to know: 1. Are there plans to add a longer pit lane configuration to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit for endurance racing in the future? 2. Towing cars to the pits for repairs, as is implemented in Iracing? 3. Replacing the driver with another person, not AI?

I have not tried by myself, but the first post says:
    • Spa Francorchamps 2005 (GP & Endurancecourses)
The Endurance one should have the longer pitlane, right?

I think they mean on the modern version of Spa, instead of just the historic version.

    Hi Crimson,
I've already posted the issue here. This is the copy/past: "Since I'm always testing new cars with auto and manual gear, It appear that the normal gearing is disabled on both cars when running on auto and trying to force gears from my SW. Only the R and N are working.
Also, the FOV of the rear passenger camera is not normally positioned. It's a small issue I know but If you can verify and fix please."

It happened only with the Lola LMP2. Hope It'll help.

I had zero interest in Le Mans, Endurance or the historical aspect of it... Until I tried the DLC, man it's really amazing fun to drive.

Tail lights are generally overdone in AMS2, particularly in broad daylight (both in terms of maximum brightness and bloom effect). It may be an artistic choice, but it doesn’t enhance the sense of realism in the sim.

To be honest, I didn’t intend to buy the last three DLCs (cars and tracks).
Reiza’s content is always of good quality and reasonably priced compared to other sims. The tire and physics model is complex — it excels in some areas but still falls short in a few basic ones (I won’t repeat them here; my opinion is well known). Why buy new content if it still feels the same, right?

However, these last two car DLCs are very good and have re-energized my motivation to continue supporting Reiza.
The FFB is miles ahead of where it was when I started developing FullFFB and is now at a very high level, contributing greatly to the overall feel of AMS2 — especially for those who prefer not to tweak custom files.

If the GT3 gen 2's are your jam, i suggest you to try them after this latest hotfix. I'm a big critic of AMS2 physics for GT3 particular, but they really nailed it this time. For me, the 1.6.8.6 is more influental than the 1.6.8.5 "major" update.

I must admit I'm slightly puzzled by all this talk of these amazing changes to the cars and physics. To me it's been a slow, gradual incremental process of improvement, and we've always been heading in the right direction. I've never not enjoyed driving any car in AMS2 since the beginning, and for sure they have steadily got better as you'd expect, but all this talk of dramatic game changing changes to the game doesn't quite sit with me. It might be that as a regular player the changes are less dramatic, like when you don't notice your kids growing up because you see them every day.
Anyway I'm glad people are liking the way the cars move and handle, but to me it's always been there, just needing some time in the oven to bake.

How can I set AI so that they pass each other more? Is that specific to higher AI setting or higher agression setting?

Use the aggression setting for that. AI also is committing more heavily to get a move done in race session than it is in P/Q.
