Really, we are still debating about specific dates when we no longer have specific dates because people argued about them incessantly?

Of course it's coming soon. Is there a specific date, no. Could something in the dev process delay things, yes. Same story every time for every update and dev log. No need to repeat the same redundant arguments about it over and over.

Patience is a virtue! Admittedly I'm not very virtuous right now because internally I'm foaming at the mouth over the thought of getting to play with the 2000s endurance content but I've learned when to keep that to myself :p

This forum is directly connecting with the dev. I don’t think we should make pressure or be impatient. We all know they work sometime even in strange day like sunday. We should be patient

I'm sure we've all been here long enough to know Reiza work on their own mysterious time scale, and that's how it's always been. :D

New video, also confirmation 2005 DLCs and update will arrive before end of October!

A short practice session amidst heavy multi-class traffic for the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta 2005 running the Porsche 996 RSR GT2 in VR to demonstrate Temporal Anti-Aliasing integration for AMS2, expected to roll out with the next update of the game; this 10-minute session has time & track conditions progressing at 60X with some light drizzle in between to showcase TAA with the game´s full lighting range.

Road Atlanta 2005 is the second of the three 2005-era race tracks to feature in the upcoming Historical Track Pack Pt3; also on display in this vídeo are some of the various 2005 LMPs and GTs that will make up the Historical Endurance Pack Pt1.

The next Automobilista 2 update will be released before the end of October; details for both new DLCs to be disclosed in the coming days.

I'm kind of bummed about 2005 Road Atlanta (based only on this video). It's been only a year since the DLC that brought the track into the game and now the new DLC which (on the surface) appears to be nearly identical to the current offering we just got, save for lack of Michelin branding/curbs, differing signage, and re-positioned RVs. Obviously, things could change once I get to drive it, but it doesn't seem like there is any meaningful difference for the circuit itself. I really hope this DLC adds the layout variants for Road Atlanta that were not included with the IMSA Track DLC.

I've purchased all the previous Historic Track DLC, so I understand that I never should have expected much, but if this 2005 version arrives with such sparse trackside details (and I'm not sure how I feel about the giant LED screen coming out of Turn 7/8 that was not there in 2005), I'll again feel disappointed (this is only my opinion based on the video). I was similarly disappointed with the 2025 Nürburgring DLC, but I completely understand Reiza's posted reasoning for that update on account of them being required to re-up on the track license. It is also possible that I've just been spoiled by the other Premium Track DLCs like Silverstone and Spa where we got all sorts of amazing variants of those circuits included in the base DLC offering.

I was hoping that the new TAA implementation would eliminate all the roll cage bars and interior surface edges from having crawling white outlines during night racing, but they are still all over this video upload, so I guess that bug was not the fault of MSAA after all.

All that being said, that new Porsche looks more fun than a bucket of basset hound puppies and I have zero doubts that the rest of the GT1 DLC is going to be anything but awesome. I genuinely hope that there is something extra waiting to be revealed with the new Historic Track DLC because it will be a bummer to go all of 2025 without a new track to buy.

This was/is an MSAA issue (as it's not present with SSAA, FXAA or SMAA) the fact that it is still present with TAA is rather concerning though.:(

there is going to be a Sebring 2005, but thats basically like this Road Atlanta, very little changes, you dont even spot them in a video.

Well the Spa 2005 is nice and we get Le Mans 2005 as an update to the original DLC, so there is that, i guess its still nice to have era accurate circuits for the biggest events.

May Reiza could give more information about the TAA VR showcase? Which headset and runtime they have used? Or to have side by side TAA VS MSAA. Because usually in flat mirror view the annoying white edges are not so visible.
Looking forward to the update. If it be game changing I will purchase the Lamborghini pack, even I don't need it. Just to reward the effort. Thank you Reiza for thinking of your VR users too. Next step, native OpenXR and foveated rendering like Quadviews please. It is really game changing in DCS, MSFS 2024 and iRacing as well!

@CrapsJarrard I spotted two big screens on the track, that look quite out of the place.

Also I'm not quite sure if the curbs are accurate to the actual 2005 version. It seems some rumble curbs like Turn 10A and B got flattened in the AMS2 version:

    upload_2025-10-22_8-32-46.png

This T11 curb is correctly a rumble one:

But surely these could be checked and adjusted, YouTube Reference material is quite low quality based on how old the footage is.

But can't wait to drive those cars and tracks. Even though it's clear Road Altana hasnt undergone big changes since then, but it's nice to have some historical accuracy.

I always like the surprise of seeing Steam has an update and normally I don't look for or anticipate gaming news/updates etc (sometimes I'm months away from any gaming) but while I have some downtime, now is a good time :D ......and in regards to patience...

I don't understand - are you annoyed that Road Atlanta in 2005 wasn't more different to how it is now? Inaccuracies I would also be... disappointed with; but in fact if the new DLC looks like the same thing it's just because they didn't change the real thing, no?

...And if there are few changes, it just means the track team can spend less time on it not taking away time they are working on whatever else is coming down the pipe...so win-win.
