We got 4 Stock car classes and Pocono with multiple layouts for free and 4 supercars as DLC since the 2005 DLCs. Now we're getting 2 Formula cars for free and even more Formula cars in the upcoming weeks. And the 2026 roadmap showed many, many more promising classes including more modern era cars later down the roadmap. And Renato even mentioned that there might be more interesting licensing deals in the works that aren't mentioned in the roadmap (just making a wild guess here but with 2 Lambo DLCs out chances seem good Reiza could add the Temerario GT3 down the road). It's totally fine if additions are not the personal favorite, but downplaying the amount of content and fixes Reiza puts in this makes you sound bitter.

This coming update is just the first part, there's more content coming in the next update, some of that content is already being tested in beta. I've tested all the available new content in beta and liked all of it.
It's ok to post your opinion, but when you make wrong assumptions without knowing all the facts people will react in a negative way.

No toxicity intended. I for one just do not agree with your following statement/opinion:
"These 10k Formula Cars are nice but really nb cares about. But the way the Devs are going is very good but the announced cars for 26, hmm not really sure if it will help the games popularity."

Considering Renato's most recent development preview there will be lots of things which will attract new players to AMS 2 IMO:
    • Single Player Career Mode
    • filling various gaps in our 2000s/2010s formula roster
    • complement our very popular 2005 Endurance Pack
    • bring late 1960s Can-Ams
    • bring early to late 1970s Le Mans prototypes
    • bring late 1970s Group 5s
    • several circuits from that era (1970s)
    • 1990s British Touring Cars
    • 2005 German Touring Cars
    • AI race craft improvements
    • option for saving & resuming races already in progress
    • option to sign up and join Scheduled Races from third party services [...] will also be integrated into the in-game Lobby
    • Further simulation improvements include more intrinsic tire damage properties, better wind simulation, and some other dynamic weather & track improvements.
    • Immersion features such as animated trackside flag marshals, dynamic crowd reactions and support for animated driver interactions are on the agenda.
    • different qualifying and race formats, virtual safety cars, parc-ferme rules, ballast rules, a wider range of pitstop restrictions, additional championship scoring options along with support for inter-series class split scoring / leaderboards
    • user customization options & improved modding support, including support for modding individual car performance
    • creating & sharing custom presets as well as championship files
I don't think that the disagree vote is meant to be emotional, at least for me. It's just a factual "I disagree".

I understand it can feel overwhelming, but i thing we should be careful with the word 'toxic.'
Different opinions, or even using the 'Dislike' button, are part of a healthy discussion.
Just as you’re free to criticize the upcoming content, others are free to express their disagreement.
It’s not about being toxic; it’s just how a forum works.
I hope new contents should be coming soon what you love.

    Dude, this are your words:
"But this upcoming update is just weak, I mean if we‘re honest since the Endurance Classic Package nothing really new, I don‘t know.

How about some further tracks or new Stock Cars, more GT3 or sth else?!
These 10k Formula Cars are nice but really nb cares about."
Who's WE and Nobody? lol, its fine to have a personal opinion, but generally those come with the word I think, and I don't care about, so maybe don't generalize next time..
All good though, happy easter everybody ;)

Is there any news or progress on the qualifying shortcut on the 24h Nürburgring variant? And is there perhaps planning to bring the NLS layout into the simulation?

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming update. It sounds promising even though I'm not really the formula driver. Thank you Reiza

Why are you talking about yourself in plural ? With words as "we're" and "nobody", you can just say "i'm" and "i" and express your subjective opinion. Not being interested in a particular dlc is fine of course but i did not spam the forums with "yet another LMDh" either because it adds nothing to the conversation.

But if i was to add something, i would say i do not care much about GT3 cars, there is no "we" in it, but i do not know that a LOT of people do care and would want them. And i do want the new Formula Edge and Hybrid Gen 1 and when i posted it on my league's Discord, enough people expressed they want them too.

Technically "free", they were released as part of / included in the full US Expansion which is 20 euros at full price.

Chill guys It was just a comment, but I am curious about something.

Sometimes I think We dont deserve Reiza, they give us dream of a content for any motorsport enthusiast that you can not find anywhere else. And then you see people asking for more GT3s, or days ago I saw a guy asking for the MX5 Cup and the Porsche 992, which is totally fine that you like that. But why? Why would you want that in this sim. You have the GT3 in AC Competizione, Iracing, LMU, Rensport, Gran Turismo, Projetc Cars, RaceRoom, RF2, I mean they are literally EVERYWHERE.

But here is the only place that you can race with an F1 from the 70's in Kyalami 1976, and I love that, man I ****ING LOVE THAT.

So why would you ask for Bahrein or Baku when We could have Jarama or Monjuict, I mean, imagine driving those 70's F1 cars in Montjuic... Or the endurance cars from the 70's that We will have at some point (there were enduracne races in Montjuic also).

Don't get me wrong, I think the GT3s are absolutely necesary and they should be in the game, but there is more world besides that.

I think I could have an answer: many might want all kind of stuff in AMS2 because it feels great to drive, looks gorgeous, makes fun AND has best VR performance… I also like the historical F1 content as it’s a unique selling point but the more I can drive in my only go to sim the better…
One of the most missing things for me is (historical) Zandvoort, that would make this gem of a sim even more perfect… :)

Well, early 1990s there was a lot of comparison between F1 and Indycar. Indycar had more even racing and more variety of circuits, but F1 cars were more exciting to watch, being 500kg giant go-carts vs 750kg behemoths, it was easier to care about the winners with the points system designed to find the best driver/car over the season rather than to artificially retain interest as long as possible, Indycar also had excessive yellow flags to retain interest in the race but at the same time making it an irrelevant lottery.

Modern F1 cars move like Indycars did at that time on their mickey-mouse street circuits - huge cars racing on circuits that were too small for them - and they race in a series with an Indycar-style points system not designed to test but to entertain. So it's not real F1. At least F1 has never gone really crazy with excessive yellow flags, but DRS was an obviously artificial fix for a problem they created themselves by ignoring decades of aero development. They need stewards to make calls all the time about artificial track limits as there is no gravel or grass at the side of the track any more. Safety should have been achieved by going the other way, slowing the cars to more like 1970s specs (power and downforce, though obviously with modern materials) so the circuits wouldn't need to be destroyed and we could actually see them race on track. It's hard to believe now, but when the Barcelona circuit started being used in the 1990s, one of the objections was that it was too easy to overtake and the cars sorted themselves into speed order too quickly for us to see much battling. But at other tracks in the 1990s there were already problems - if I had to pick one moment, I'd say reintroducing refuelling for 1994 because we weren't seeing enough overtaking on track (dirty air was already becoming a problem), so let's have more drama in the pits, was in retrospect the final capitulation. I remember John Watson wrote in the 1993 BBC season preview magazine something close to, "Until F1 decides to return to a specification more similar to that of the 1970s, the chances of seeing real racing at Monaco are zero," the problems have spread to more tracks since then, but the solution has also been known since then.

And obviously it's nothing to do with my having become old.

    ---

More on topic but related to the above. I hope "Initial V1.7 Physics revisions are already present in V1.6.9.5, covering all slick-shod formula classes" doesn't mean they'll be tightening the possible slip angle for retro gen 1. The game is already less forgiving than what you see in videos of that era. That it might be more forgiving than some other sim is irrelevant.

Those comments i actually do understand. Like when someone told me "Buy you can drive X car on Z track in AC" ... my answer is "but i do not like and do not play AC". And the community i have is all about AMS2. Though when it comes to cars and tracks being added to the game i am never opposed to anything. But i do prefer variety and do have a preference for historic over modern, i still appreciate that modern current stuff is added too.

    Amazing update, thank you, Reiza.

P.S. Please give intermediate tires to Formula V10 Gen 2—the car has been without them for four months already.

Love the sound of the blown exhaust/diffuser from the external views.

I'm thrilled with the update. It drives very well. It sounds very cool.Thank you

But I think it would be really cool if a man could see what year the vehicles are from. It is now becoming confusing if you don't know much about it
