I'm pretty sure it's going to be linked to your Steam account, not files installed in your PC.

Basically. As Renato has said so far, the only thing that matter is game/dlc ownership before it goes generic. So buy it now, tell your friends to buy it, tell everyone to buy it.

Congratulations Renato and the entire Reiza team! Thank you for the new cars and I'm really rooting for the continued growth and success of AMS2. The update is a hit, it's fantastic and it was a huge success on YouTube channels!

So far, only one label for “Weight” is known (page 7),
if that’s possible, then shouldn’t an abbreviation for, say, “-20%” for power, etc., also be possible?
And that should be visible in the lap time table, too!
There are a lot of good and fair people out there, but also a lot of cheaters.
It’s already hard enough to find a server where you don’t get kicked right away,
whether on purpose or because people can’t even complete a single lap without crashing.
I’d rather race against real people than against AI that’s too slow and drives poorly.
Unless I’ve missed something, no one from Reiza has commented on this yet, even though
    other questions have been answered.
It seems I’m not alone in my concerns about cheating, since drivers here are already announcing
that they won’t be participating in MP races anymore, which would be a shame!

Here's a quick summary about my impressions of this update:
    • The new Formula Gens drive really well. I really enjoy that there really is quite the difference in each of them. Will have to do more races to find out which I like the most, some V8 ones are a bit much on the ears for my taste, but that's how these cars sounded. Really looking forward to how all of these gens will come together for career mode later.
    • Hungaroring looks really well done. The track is really challenging to drive with its quite complex flow between corners and barely any visibility of upcoming corners. Will definitely go for some slower cars to really learn each nuance of this track before trying it with the Formulas again
    • The historic layouts of other tracks are again well done. The old Spielberg is brutal since all runout areas are just grass or sand, so going a bit wide will end your race. Was surprised how low the curbs are in low Monza, you can cut the corners really aggressively.
    • The updated smoke and dirt effects are incredible. The last update already improved them quite a bit, now how smoke and thrown up dirt builds and stays longer in the air really affects the visbility on the track like it should. Even being outside the track limits on asphalt throws up tons of collected dust. It all really adds to the immersion. Minor room for improvement to me would be adding a bit more gravel getting thrown on the track surface when a car rejoins
    • For GT3 Gen 2 it feels like there was more minor things done than just ARBs. They feel a little more planted like GTEs, so it's another good adjustment to them. The standard TCS setting went from 6 to 8 which seems too high honestly with how overly aggressive TCS is anyways in AMS2. Definitely go for 1-3 if conditions are good and you're an experienced driver, even beginners should be fine with 4-6 with how controllable these are on the throttle. The Aston feels a bit too understeery on turn in, so the front ARB could be a bit softer or you really have to work around corners via brake input. The new M4 engine sound sounds more unique in a good way, but it's way too quiet compared to the other cars so the volume could be set up a bit higher.

    Isn't that the opposite?

If the car is understeery you should soften the FARB and stiffen the RARB

Another beautiful detail I've noticed is the tire lock-up physics. There's a transition point (or sweet spot) that I've noticed during hard braking with various F1 cars where a front tire barely locks up and continues spinning without producing smoke from more aggressive friction. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself clearly, but there's a note in the improvements list for this update that mentions raising the tire lock-up threshold so that the lock-up triggers smoke generation. Anyway, I've noticed it, and the immersion and realism of this effect are excellent!

Okey i've raced for like 20 hours now since 3 days back. Mind you I haven't played AMS 2 in over like a year since I couldn't get to grips with the driving feeling.

But holy crap, this is the single biggest update driving wise since it was released imo.

The slip angle is much much tighter, before you could literally hear the cars "slipping" mid corner no matter what, it's still some but i'd argue its in between the range of how slip angles differ in simracing titles.

Also I really didn't like how mid corners if you put some throttle down the car always found a way to rotate around its center, it felt very unnatural. Now you get that proper understeer or obviously rear getting tail happy.

Wow wow! So finally for me personally its so good that i'm finally enjoying the driving!

Now content wise AMS2 always been amazing and diverse. But since I haven't played in a year obviously there is a FLOOD of things to try.

Oh and the smoke effects are really good! Must be best i've seen in a game.

    Hats off Reiza :hurrayreiza:

AMS2 V1.6.9.81 is now live; this update complements the latest release with various additional fixes and minor improvements.

V1.6.9.81 also marks the end of the free trial period for the latest DLC tracks; the Hungaroring, layouts from the Historical Track Pt4 & Monza 2005 are now restricted to onwers of the respective DLCs.

    V1.6.9.8->V1.6.9.81 CHANGELOG

    GENERAL
    • Fixed a CTD when resetting to defaults on Session Selection Dialog with no Preset enabled
    • Fixed drivers being incorrectly DQ in first lap if they received a DT for speeding during formation / rolling starts
    • Fixed issue that would prevent correct Limited Setup option being set at lobby launch when hosting via game client
    • Fixed visual tire wear not rendering when a tire also had a visual flatspot
    • Fixed motion blur affecting tires
    • Fixed tire edges drawing over car bodywork when viewed at glancing angles with Parallax Occlusion enabled
    • Fixed shadow banding on some tire treads with Parallax Occlusion enabled
    • Fixed tyre artifacts with Parallax Occlusion enabled for triple screen setups

    • Further adjusted tire friction threshold to generate smoke

    UI & HUD
    • Fixed incorrect speed limit shown and unlocalised strings in pitstop timer HUD widget

    Renato,

The DLC - Premium Track Pack does not have the blue rectangle next to it after last week's 1.6.9.8 update.

Today, I bought the Historical Track Pack Pt.4 & Hungaroring after the 1.6.9.8.1, the Premium track pack is still showing with a grey rectangle, but i can see and access the content of that DLC. (i had bought this DLC the day it was released).

The latest track packs are not included for Paddock members/early backers?

    "VEHICLES

F-V10 Gen2: Disabled single vehicle team entries for an even 10-10 distribution of Bridgestone / Michelin teams"

Why remove two more slots instead of restoring the two missing ones we had before the update and making it a 12-12 split?

Sorry Guys but that is a silly decision. Now i can't continue my championship season... Make F1 Gen2 with 24 cars again and 12-12 Bridgestone/Michelin Cars...

I checked my account and copy, and I've the same problem as well. I've posted this internally, and the devs are aware. Thank you.

Edit: Should be fixed now. Please restart Steam
