I'm running a small league every year over 4 months and I'd want everyone to feel everything is above board and not think in the back of their head that I'm beating them because maybe I did a little trick with the BoP. So I am definitely of the opinion that any BoP adjustments should be visible in every way. By this I mean:

They should be able to check if their car hasn't been nerfed and they should equally be able to check if my car hasn't been boosted up.

Fabulous update, the new formulas are beautiful. I tested Montreal in a heavy rainstorm and the track practically flooded, the aquaplaning effect was also amazing. And it seems to me that from a quick first test, driving on normal wet conditions has also improved.
Also Formula vee gen2 2026 are amazing.
    Thanks, Reiza.

    Live Long & Prosper :D

I noticed an anomaly on my Automobilista 2 Steam store page. I think it will sort itself out after the free trial period ends, but, i had a blue rectangle (as in owned) next to the Automobilista 2 Premium Track Pack, post yesterdays update, it shows as if i do not own it (grey). I can access the content in the Sim though.

I think this would be possible through the Just Race server , as to apply the Bop , they will need to be registered to the race server and have their steam id linked .
It’s something that has to be organised prior to serving going live as far as I believe.
So all parties should be involved.

Perhaps there’s a possibility to have the in game chat list the applied bop ?
I don’t know, but I doubt we will see UI notifications, as it has to read the active json file .

    Hi all
I love open-wheel cars, so an update like this is just what I needed.
The F-V10 Gen3 Renault is a rev monster, it handles great.
But I have a question about this:

"""Another new feature is the introduction of customizable power, weight & drag scalars for both Multiplayer and Single Player; in Multiplayer the admin of dedicated servers can now configure a ballast (in kg) as well as power and drag scalars for each user Steam id (or as a default value for anyone not in the Steam id lists), via simple new json files to customize the Balance of Performance as said server admin might find more adequate."""

As a participant, can I see if I’ve been assigned weights or other restrictions? Is that information listed in the table? Or when I join a server like that?

That just opens up another opportunity for cheaters to gain an unfair advantage! If it’s visible, at least you can leave the server right away! Then the cheater can race alone. Basically, this is a good additional tool for more realism.

Wow, that all sounds soooo good. I can't wait to get behind the wheel today!

Does that mean the AI can't be adjusted in multiplayer?

I tested the AI at Monza 2005 with the Formula V10 Gen 3; the AI works great, and the car handles wonderfully in the rain.

I've tested it in both dry and wet conditions. In dry conditions, the AI performs flawlessly; in the rain, I notice it's a bit faster, though that might just be me getting used to driving in the rain, which is probably the case :)

    Edit :

You can adjust that using this feature :

Could we please fix the time trial mode. None of the new content (track or cars) seem to bee logging times

I am certain it is not available as it is a free weekend at the moment, but it will be available later next week when things settle down, such as after a hotfix.

He is correct though :) sometimes things are just implied rather than explicitly stated because they are not meant to be the focus of attention.

That still shouldn´t be in focus now FWIW, just interjecting because you´re being a bit needlessly confrontational... Even if he was wrong that wouldn´t crack the top 20 worst assumptions I´ve seen in the forum this weekend :p

    Dear Renato,
I just want ti say THANKs.
Great job and impressive effort even when some commercial issue are contrasting your passion.
Only one question: is still in your plan to get the limitation of tyre along a single race weekend, expecially for F1 Hybrid Gen3 cars? If so, by when?

Dry to wet with puddles and seems like either 10x or 15x timescale is good. If you do a 20 min sprint with 10x that means in 20 mins you will have 5 in-game hours pass.

I just did a test with Rain to Light Couds. 10x time progression works great ! This is how the track changes once the weather switches from Rain to Light Clouds when weather is set to Sync To Race. Left to right 9 minutes pass with 10 cars on the track.

EDIT: This was at Hungaroring, date - June 2026, cars were Group A

Just for the sake of thoroughness & complementing my own reply on the matter earlier, besides the obvious variable of how much water is falling from the sky (which varies, even within each of the rain weather options) how quickly puddles accumulate & dissipate also rely on factors like track geometry & drainage, track & environment temperature as well as interaction with cars - not just quantity but speed, load, heat and type of tire they are running can influence the amount of water dissipated.

Thus the settings you reference might result in those big puddles in that corner with those cars (Group A @ Kyalami?), but notice the camber in that corner and the lack of drains in the inside curbs there - that´s contributing to those puddles being formed in that location; take it to modern Spa or Silverstone and those will not be easy to see unless the heavens really open.

FWIW, I experienced an extremely rare(for my system) bsod-style system reboot after the 1st download/install attempt hung at 99%
Fortunately attempt #2 just went down flawlessly.
Should have checked the EventLog but was too excited to get into all the new stuff.

Got to race on Hungaroring with GT3 Gen 2s, Monza 2005 in the R28, Spielberg 2001 in the M1s, and Imola in GT1 2005. I like the new track and the overall feel of the historic tracks I've raced on so far.

Edit: Finished off the rest (besides Indianapolis Oval) with the road course of Indianapolis 2001 being done in GT2 2005 where an aggressive Porsche AI took themselves out after they drove into me (no complaints there XD). GT1 on the 1999 Barcelona and LMP2 2005 for the 2001 variant.

Will definitely be buying the tracks when the steam store resets on Monday.
