I'm a little confused. Are we no longer going to get the McLaren for the Formula v10 gen2 that were in the screenshots?

 

I mean that the liveries per car have hard coded which are flagged for a preset like IMSA that can't be modified by livery overwrites. Like I have 6 IMSA liveries for the AMG GT3, but the preset will only show the 4 slots that are coded as IMSA ones. It would be really cool to be able to add the PRESETFILTER="IMSA" to livery overwrites to modify the livery selection for a preset

 

Been driving the update for a bunch of hours now and I gotta say you guys nailed, biases apart because nothing beats a naturally aspirated, nimble, lightweight f1 car, the changes to the AI, parc ferme rules and qualyfing formats add a ton of complexity to the races now:
I tried the V8 G1 at Spa 2005, and I qualyfied P1 with more than 1 second on Micheal, only for the race to begin and then I found myself pitting in lap 4, exiting with traffic and losing a ton of time... Micheal won by 10 seconds at the end, pitting much latter and gaining a massive advantage without having to fight anybody. I left feeling dissapointed but with a huge smile on my face.

 

We most likely will, but thats the point of no return when all other non McLaren cars will become generic, so Im guessing Reiza is waiting a bit longer than what they wanted, to leave some time for folks to buy the game and\or DLCs.

 

Congratulations on the release Renato and Reiza team; no end of challenges are placed in your way and you do a great job to overcome them.

Personally, the GP content isn't really my thing but I am very interested in all the new track content. My primary concern is still the little 'trains' of AI which feels very Immersion breaking, so I hope this patch has some improvement in that area but I appreciate your commitment to improve it either way.

Well first they need to actually make the generic versions of everything they have to remove and implement some logic for which versions show for which buyers. Will they need to consider how MP will work when some games have a Lotus and some own a Lutos?

 

it shouldn’t be any different in Mp to how it works now for sessions that feature 1 or 2 cars that are DLC that some in lobby might not own , they can’t choose them , but they can see them on track ,
Remember this is about what users can purchase under license after the certain date , rather than what they can see visually on track .

 

Ah, maybe that's technically how it works then; there are two different cars and some logic which says which ones you can see in your local version based on when you bought the game?

 

Just a headsup, Indy 2001 is showing as Indianapolis_2001_RC, probably a leftover name.
Love all the new content, R25 is definitly the most enjoyable, cant wait for the MP4/20.

 

I'm honestly more saddened by the classic and historic cars; they're a huge asset to AMS2. Losing the original brands is really bad. Obviously, knowing that the current owners will keep them is great, but what about future updates and additions? Will it be an abandoned category? I'm still hoping for a less invasive solution to the current game content, at least for the classic/historic content; generic modern Formula 1 cars would be less of a loss.

 

Both DLCs don't show up in the DLC list in my Steam client and show as "not owned" in the store page. I'm guessing that will be fixed when the trial period ends?

Nice to hear the pages are online. Is there any sort of eta for the patch? Reason of asking is because in let's say an hour i am planning to race again in Ams 2 but I rather have the update before I start . Otherwise I maybe will push it to tomorrow as I was mostly planning to do my hotlap challenge. A offline leaderboard that is somewhat topgear hotlap like where a script chooses a random car I have to drive and my fastest lap with that car during the 3 laps I have goes on my leaderboard.

 

In AC and ACC, I believe the players can see a +X kg on the player list to see if anyone has additional ballast applied on the MP server. I'm hoping we see something similar in AMS2 MP server. But I agree, it's nice for everyone to see if there's any handicap being applied. And I for one, welcome this MP addition, as it is a feature we regularly use in our league when we play AC and ACC.

Now I'm hoping we can see a similar feature where different ballast is applied to different vehicles in a class, so we can do custom BoP to balance out a vehicles at a track. *fingers crossed* More MP tools are always better than limited MP tools.

Also thank you for adding more tracks! As I've always said, if more tracks get added to this game I'll buy them without question. I'm fulfilling my part of the bargain. Please keep adding more tracks and I'll keep buying them.

It shows the ballast in the lobby screen, but only ballast is shown, power and drag isn't shown.

 

I'm gonna go in the opposite direction, imo the Renault R28 is the best among the three, with the R26 being second and the R25 being the last. I used a custom ffb and finally solved that longstanding issue I had with modern F1 cars in AMS2, that gave me absolutely no feeling from the front, but for some reason the R25 still feels that way.
