The Renaults and especially that R28 legitimately shocked me with how good they felt to drive as someone who doesn't usually drive the open-wheel / F1 cars. Sounds as amazing as they drive too hearing it in the game for myself..

 

Ah! I thought the car in the picture in the announcement was new too?

Oh man, this release is finally public! I've been waiting a long time to finally be able to see my 2005 liveries in the game!

(Yes, a 2005 skinpack is upcoming... eventually. Once the McLaren is there (or two additional generic car livery slots for McLaren in the meantime.

 

Genuine question because of the phrasing; it states "stays with your installation of the game". Seeing that I'm almost running out of storage, doe this mean if I will remove and re-download the game at a later point, the cars will be replaced?

I can finally enjoy racing in an era that never received a truly great dedicated game. Honestly, I never thought something like this would ever exist. Being able to experience these cars in such detail feels like a dream come true. Thank you!

 

I closed steam earlier when the download was already almost over (like 5 min left), and it was way less than 44 GB... it seems I should have pause the download before directly closing steam and shutting down my computer, I guess steam got crazy and it is reinstalling the whole game or something... I don't think I'll get to play today

 

Yes!! Kind of buried in the (typically) long changelog, but this is big.

 

Very nice update. Just ran a GT3 race and the tweaks you've made to those cars really work. Nice job.

 

I did a race at Indy 2001 with GT3 Gen 2 with GT4 and it was a blast! I really don't like the infield layout in the 2001 version but it was fun with the GT cars! I hate those two hairpins in the second half of the track, but I would be lying if I said I didnt enjoy doing a last lap divebomb there for P6. There was a little contact but hey, rubbing is racing

 

Oh yes that's a good spot, I always see that collar in VR and it's very off-putting so glad it's gone.

 

Just run a few laps with the Renault's .... Very nice sounds in cockpit... And great feel to drive. Great Job

Will you include time forward button in a practice and qual session?

Also about HUD: any plans to add sectors split times compare to session leader during hot lap? It's a bit strange to see just my best time, potential time and that's it.

 

Its great how you will correct some things! But what about the lack of ability to change qualifying rules? Hope it will be sorted soon!

 

Those will be in the Historic Endruance Pt2 DLC that will come with 1.6.9.9 later this month

 

Which rules are you referring to, some of the new qualifying rules are available only by selecting a preset currently

 

The ability to choose one without a fixed preset.
