This update just released, with a first implementation of those qualifying formats, it's likely that this will be expanded in the future, but i don't see the point in basically demanding this right now, as was shared by Renato, things have been quite hectic the past weeks with the licensing stuff, so i think it makes sense their priority lies with getting that fully sorted first, and then the focus can move forward.

 

Also Presets have the disadvantage that custom liveries can't be assigned to presets, so they are stuck with which original livery is marked for a preset. Would be great if that can be looked into in the future

 

the mclaren's F1 2000 and 2005 is present in the beta version, not in the public release

 

What a pleasure it was reading that, some new content and lots of little tweaks in every area something for everyone to be happy about, fantastic work guys, I haven't even tried it yet but recognise the care you put in. Cheers!

I kinda get the idea of what Reiza is going for here, to have visible tire degradation for more immersive POV experiences where you can see the tire and adapt accordingly without requiring to be overly reliant on HUD elements, specially if you would rather have them turned off.
You can see wear or a squared off section after a lockup, adds immersion.

I'm not sure if it's placebo but I've noticed in certain races, where parts of the track where cars go off quite often, the track seems to get dirty? or it was already looking like that since the start?

I did find it immersive that the track was dirty in a spot where a saw a couple of cars get 2 wheels on the grass. These little things add up.

I wish good luck sorting the licensing stuff, it's really sad to see the outrageous heaps and hoops that some devs need to go through just to have content in the game.

 

Thanks for the update. The sound of these new F1 cars is fantastic. The Road version of IndyCar 2001 is a welcome addition to this track pack. And Hungaroring is a great new circuit. Not on my first list, but any new track is welcome. Another great job, well done Reiza.

 

Can confirm puddles form and work wonderfully ! It is indeed dependent on the timescaling setting. This video was at 60x timescale.

 

This was already a feature in game , but has probably become a bit more noticeable.

 

Edit: The update never began. Now I can reinstall the whole game. Have not changed anything on my system since last update...

The pic of the Lister and Milano was directly put to the 1.6.9.9 chapter of the part 2 update post. It was also stated in the 2026 dev blog:
"At the moment the content roadmap looks roughly like this: the first update should feature a formula pack filling various gaps in our 2000s/2010s formula roster; from there we take a step back to complement our very popular 2005 Endurance Pack from last year with the second part of our Historical Endurance Pack"

 

Is that expected to come to other classes like the 90s GT1 as well? Since the tires played a big role in the Mercedes domination and were part of the reason why the Zakspeed Porsches were much slower than the works Porsche too. And if so, is there anything planned to have different tire brands for the same car, maybe via livery slots, like the Porsche?
