Agree, the Spyker and Milano also have incorrect camera position in cockpit view (slighty off-centre)

 

Wasn't able to try all the new content, but drove the Storm and the Trofeo Maserati. All great cars on their own way.

Maybe I've missed something but I couldn't find the Ligiers mentioned on the revised cars list nor on the not revised cars list. Just out of curiosity, what are the status of the Ligiers?

I've been enjoying the formula cars that came out last month.

The new GT1s are very good... guess I need to get that round wheel after all...

 

Unfortunately, this didn't fix the StockUSA issue; the AI remains much slower than the player. At Daytona, using a basic setup, I was actually 10 seconds faster than the AI (set to 100%), which essentially make this class of cars and tracks useless. Other players have already reported this on Steam, whitout any official response from the developers.

What is the point of adding tons of new content without fixing what already exists broken? Personally—and I say this with regret—I will not buy any new content until the game's serious flaws are fixed.

Tried only 2 cars for now, the Gillet is a bit too feisty but the Ferrari is really a pleasure to drive.

 

Ca 18 years ago I drove sims for a few years with a monitor on my left at a 30 degree angle due to limitations of my room. It was quite easy. I didnt experience any geforces behind my desk though.

 

I don't know what kind of wizardry lies behind all of that but GT3s feel obscenely good now

 

That Gillet Vertigo is just so beautiful to me, both to look at and to drive. Also a big fan of the Lister Storm, the Saleen, and the TVR.

 

Doesn't get mentioned much but I'd like to send a big shout out to the guys/gals doing the cockpits of late. They are looking top notch in terms of modeling and skinning. Really up there with the best these days.

 

Tip of the Day; Silverstone International historic 2001, in the Maserati Trofeo, GT1/GT2/GTR multiclass.
(Wet conditions, with head tracking, on a 55" screen with fudged HDR that works surprisingly well..)
And why is it always the relative underdogs in these DLCs that win me over?
Maybe it's just the charm of a mid-power saloon/tourer.
Maybe this combo already gets very close to that BTCC vibe that I reckon so many are craving?
This car is incredible! Nimble, playful and very inviting.
Was also smitten by the Spyker..

 

The GT1s are expectedly amazing to drive, great job again Reiza.

The only issue I have is that the Lamborghini is still far and away the fastest car on almost every track.

I know we have custom bop now but I still think having one car put 0.5 seconds or more per lap on most other cars in the class is not okay (when it is not historically accurate at all), I know some leagues in the past just had the Lambo banned when racing the class, so I hope there is the possibility of an adjustment for that car.

I'm all for realism and authenticity but is there a way to disable the antenna on top of the Spyker C8? On Roof Cam it is highly distracting and annoying. It is present at any FOV setting.

 

It's shadow is also distracting in cockpit view Wait, it's not the Spyker, but a different model that has the antenna shadow on the wind screen banner. Not at rig and can't remember which car...sorry...but it must have a large antenna like this one to cause the issue.

I too think that the Lamborghini is the best sounding GT1 car in the game. Downshifts are powerful, the car feels alive on and off the throttle, and its sound offers lots of depth no matter the circumstance—idle, a little bit of gas, full-throttle, and off-throttle all sound great.
The GT1s of the first Historical Endurance Pack all sound good, with some of them needing a little bit of tweaking to get them close to perfection (shifts in the Corvette are a little too tame, the Maserati has a very weird audio loop in the external view, even though it already got turned down after its initial release, etc.)
When talking about the sound of those GT1 cars, I always like to reference Race Sim Studio's pack for Assetto Corsa, which they also updated several times to improve the sound of all cars included.
In the beginning, the Saleen—excuse me, the Shadow—had a powerful sound, nice gear changes, and enough depth, but its base sound diverged quite heavily from its real world counterpart.
The base sounds of cars in AMS 2 are almost perfect across the board, with only a few exceptions diverging slightly from their real world counterpart—mainly some GT3s and GT4s.
Sound-wise, the cars from RSS have much more depth, sound way more powerful, and as of right now, simply just sound a little bit better.
They are, however, too raw and clean, not really portraying what a driver would hear whilst sitting in the car. AMS 2 definitely does a better job at that, especially when using helmet cam.

Given that several other cars sounded rather boring in the past (Formula V10 Gen 2 on the outside, all CART generations, the 91 Formula cars, and more) but got updated later on, I have no doubt that Reiza's sound department is more than capable of bringing those new cars up to par in no time.
This time, most cars are only lacking in interior cam views, the exterior sound is superb for almost all of them.
Generally speaking, of the cars that are in need of improved sounds, a large portion simply need better gear changes. The Formula V10 Gen 2 (the one imitating the 01' Williams) is a great example to see where improvements could be made. Base sound is fantastic, but compare the in-game sound to actual footage, and you can see that the real car has super aggressive up- and downshifts, making it seem like the gears are whipped into place.
