A wrist injury is keeping me off my wheel but I wanted to say thanks and recognise the work that's gone into making this game work with a game pad!

Playing in chase or hood cam with a controller it's like a whole new game, and you get a new set of sounds to enjoy and in chase cam see more of the cars.

So much fun, some of these cars were on my pie-in-the-sky dream list I love them!

I don't even know where to begin. The work you've done is simply unbelievable. Every car feels amazing, the new cars, the GT3, the LMDh cars, and the Formula cars.

I used to think that Assetto Corsa with Oulton Park and the Lister Storm was a combination that would be impossible to beat, but you've somehow managed to make something even better.

Absolutely incredible work. The early 2000s were the golden era of motorsport, and thank you for bringing that feeling back to life.

Is the force feedback better, or still feels like you drive a boat ? :)

I only ever used a custom FFB called "rFuktor version 5013" and all cars have always felt perfect with it. And if a certain car feels like a boat then it is because it is meant to feel heavy like that.

I use a custom FFB setup, and the GT3s feel fine to me—as do almost all the other classes. In fact, lately, they’ve become perhaps my favorite GT3s ever. It’s right that they feel a bit heavy and clumsy; in real life, they’re like refrigerators...

Why the Dallara SP1 is in ALMS 2005 preset ? It not race in USA
Same for the enduro Lm 2005 preset, the Murcielago GT1 is there and don’t raced in real LM 2005, its a bug ?

I have noticed a small issue with the "Engine Placement" being listed incorrectly for some of the new cars in the Vehicle Selection screen.

    • The Panoz GT2 is listed as being rear engine, when it should be Mid-Front.
    • The TVR GT2 is listed as Mid-Rear when it should be Mid-Front.
    • And the Maserati Trofeo is listed as Mid-Front when really it should be Front, as the engine sits right over the front axle.

Did a 50 minute mixed 2005 GTs race with the TVR at Road Atlanta earlier, wow its lack of power is apparent quickly!

Could not get used to the relative lack of traction (compared to modern GTs) in turn 1 - skill issue - but the driving experience was itself fantastic. I was fighting over 43rd place with a couple of 911s and having a great time doing so, just the sort of race I want to have. Each pass felt hard earned (although the AI a bit weak into turn 2) but the 911s running away on the straights.

However, that one immersion breaker is still there; AI v AI racing. With a 3 class split, it was immediately triggering watching the cars following each other like snake ribs around the corners, but especially after about 40 minutes being lapped by a train of 8 BMW M3s each absolutely glued to each other.

I won't dwell on it because it's a known and acknowledged issue, but just flagging it's my one big issue with the game as things stand.

Otherwise, please get planning 2005 pack 3 because I will happily be buying pack 2 as soon as it's on Steam.

Rollcentre Dallara raced Sebring '05, JLOC raced ELMS Monza '05. Next.

That’s strange—what steering wheel do you have? I find them super fun and relatively easy to drive right at the limit.

Does the new Milano feel off in its scale to you? Seems massive in the cockpit in VR to me and i cant drive it because i need to reduce the word scale to get it to feel normally sized but then everything is off with their scale.

Ah ok but it would be cool that the cars race at the exact event they have IRL, like the Dallara will be playable in the preset only if I select Sebring, idk if its possible

I clearly don't have the pace to even properly like all dev updates and content drops in time anymore, wow. Somehow I'm almost daily visit the forum and still this updates catched me by surprise.
Seems like you guys are on the mission right here. I'm so glad I put all my belief in AMS2, the goated sim title, and only game I fought my laziness to leave a review on steam for lol.
Thank you very much once again Reiza.

It's the clear and obvious choice of sim at the moment, doubly so for mostly offline racing.

Same as you this is the only game I've reviewed on Steam as well. I'd suggest everybody else do the same

New wet track rubbered line effect is great!

New dry line start is HORRIBLE: narrow strips going bigger, not realistic at all. Old effect is WAY better.

I agree, this is such a fine game, totally enjoying the feel, my favorites are the Vintage and Retro formula cars. The feedback from the road through the steering wheel is fantastic, love it!

I think it's fair that they are used to fill gaps and add variety. We don't (and can't) have all the cars, various Riley & Scotts, Lister and Lola LMPs, so IMO it's a good idea to give the Audi something to race against.

Luckily we can each make our own grids with XML files anyway, a great feature sadly missing from many games (looking at you LMU).
