There is a small discrepancy with the shifting light for the Gillet Vertigo, in AMS2 only one of the two lights above the comically large gear display is coming up while according to this on-board(best seen at 0:49 or 1:20) both of them came up, the left green light first and the second red light as the actual shifting light:

Still making my way through the pack (and I never played GTR2 much), the Spyker is a firecracker isn't it? :)

I spent the first couple of hours just driving around in the familiar old cars. You know, the tires have really improved over time. Each small update brought incremental improvements, but now everything is finally coming together and making sense.

It’s hard to put into words. Before, I used to heavily limit the steering lock in the options (dropping it down to 18) just to make the steering feel more stable, mature, and less twitchy—combined with high force feedback damping settings.

Now, it feels even better to me with a steering angle of 26. I have no idea what kind of magic is at work here, but it seems almost perfect now. That notorious "floating" sensation has been completely eliminated.

Honestly—new cars, new tracks, blah blah... it’s all great, as always... but the new tires. My God, those new tires. AMS2 has never felt so glued to the road. All those tiny improvements have finally led to a real "aha" moment for me. Thanks, Reiza.

    Old effect:

    Now, new one jigsaw puzzle:

Need some work with these textures, for sure. Old ones for drying track was near perfect. But track wet shaders are now much better!

In VR is more noticeable, like in 11:00 of this video:

But driving in wet track now feels better, just need some tweaks with these textures. Maybe it's a placeholder.

Agree, since they added the full fia gt 2005 I’m quit optimistic for the LMPs 2005
Its really remarkable that they achieve to add the full roaster

Its not the full FIA GT field. Its missing the 575 and some other 911 variants, I wouldnt be optimistic for something that hasn't even been hinted towards yet

Aye, I wouldn't expect any more from 2005 endurance! I would happily pay for a Courage C65, a Corvette C6R, a Lister LMP, a Zytek and a Pescarolo, but I suspect the best thing for Reiza will be targeting something more unique.

Expecting every 911 variant or a Milano 57 is very unrealistic though!

I really, really appreciate this pack 2 though, hopefully its sales prove how popular adding depth to existing classes can be!

I can confirm: The image in the right mirror needs to be mirrored (hehe). Also: The steering wheel animation in external view is bugged on the Saleen. The wheel does not spin right/left but tilts forwards/backwards. Looks funny but should probably be fixed. :D

Tried all the cars, the Ferrari, Saleen and Spyker are definitly my favourites to drive. Talking about the Spyker, there looks like theres some visual bugs, the cockpit reflects the ground, like when I step on the rumble strips the whole cockpit gets drenched in a red haze. That happened on Hungaroring, it was ok on the other cars.

    Loving the update!
The TVR is an absolute dream to drive, but I noticed that it's fairly off the pace compared to its' peers. This makes sense given it's down 50hp, of course, but I looked into the real T400R's stats and it weighed 1100kg in real life whereas the one in the sim, much like the rest of the GT2 field, weighs 1200. Perhaps lowering the weight by that extra hundred or so could give it a little more performance? It was never much more than a midfielder IRL, but the rest of the class is very well balanced against eachother so a little bit of a "buff" to both follow IRL stats and give the TVR a little more of a fighting chance could be in order IMO :)

There certainly are plenty of cars with interesting alignment in real racing. But, with no camera adjustment for left / right in cockpit, for a few of the cars, you cannot position the view correctly - I.e. you're either sitting with your SIM wheel either to far right or left to the on screen wheel when setting your position (depending on if the car is left or right-hand-drive).

So, albeit technically correct versus real life, it feels slightly awkward as a rig setup cannot be adjusted to match - I think that makes sense, but I've probably heavily convoluted my thoughts

A current workaround you can use is to use Ctrl + K and adjust the camera laterally, but you'll have to do this every time you get in the car since this settings don't save.

Most weights listed in AMS2 are with driver weight, some fuel and liquids included, so the weight should be about accurate. At least that's the case for most GT and prototype cars afaik, while the formula cars have their dry weight listed.

I would really like to see that standardized or at least be noted next to the weight to avoid confusion.

Hi, to be honest, I'm a bit conflicted about this update. On one hand, the unexpected winner, the Spyker C8, really impressed me. It has great handling and an amazing engine sound. On the other hand, the TVR T400R is carrying a lot of extra weight and can barely keep up with the rest of the field. The same goes for the Gillet Vertigo, which is also significantly overweight. Its engine sound and overall character have nothing in common with the legendary Busso V6. I don't want to come across as a fanatic, but the Busso is widely considered one of the most iconic naturally aspirated V6 engines ever made, and even the road-going versions had a sound that was in a league of their own. Hopefully someone will eventually address these issues through mods, and maybe even merge the GT2 and GTR cars into a single class.

If Reiza updated the sky textures someone would post that the GT3s are better now.

They've been beautiful for a while now, just like hypercars.
