Full GT1 race at Hockenheim with the panoz was the best simracing experience I've ever had. Some dry some wet some serious thinking about strategy while trying to keep a very eager Nissan at bay. It's great to see more improvement are on the way but already at this point AMS2 is by far the best racing simulator ever.

 

The Panoz Esperante GTR-1 seems like an excellent choice for beginners, being slightly easier to drive and more predictable than the other models.

 

It has a quite neutral balance in general but also in longer corners it needs a lot of patience before getting back on power, bit too early on throttle and it will run wide easily. Bit of a point and shoot type of car

 

Its a front engined car. It figures its understeery.

The update is pretty good, but...

I don't see much point in restricting pit exits and qualifying laps.

People join the game, crash on the first corner, and then we ban them from practicing, instead of requiring them to complete X clean laps without going off the track or hitting anything. If they can't do that, they're not worthy of participating in a race.

Even so, thanks for the improvements, and I hope there are many more on the way.

Looks like we'll have to make do with the scripts.

 

Odd take …
Qualifying is not the time for practice.
These Rules are a setting that host can or can not choose to implement.
It also adds a layer of authenticity to Offline championships as well as Leagues .

 

AI 120 and playing with traction/braking scalars and AI errors is amazing against AI. Game changing in single player for sure.

 

Enormous heartfelt gratitude to everyone that has involved themselves with this project, both payroll and community.
Time flies, and before you know it you've clocked up 3000 hours!

Hardly saw my rig for weeks, but had to alot some time when presented with a new build.
Love the new car, the lively AI and had a spin with some longtime favorite combos to see what maybe felt different with the 1.7 physics revisions.

Very, very impressed.
No other sim engages me in this way..
Can barely wait for 1.7
