Reiza do some great work in VRAM usage. No more stutters in some track points loading data. Now all "heavy" tracks loading sectors runs smooth, and can go with same FPS with some settings higher that uses a lot of VRAM.

And shadows in lower settings looks better now too in VR.

This title evolves all the time. Best dev team for sim racing in the market. Hope they keep improving Madness Engine, because this engine is the best ever made for sim racing in VR.

EDIT: I am aware of course the HUD is in beta and the description clearly says that features are missing, i just wanted to give feedback on the current version of it:

I did about 2 hours of tests and fiddling with the new HUD in VR and found it very frustrating.

Biggest issue is that there is zero opacity to any of the elements aside the current Speedometer.

The way i had my HUD layout before was like this as on monitor, same in VR, but because the new hud has no opacity i cannot see anything that is on the ICM !

With the old hud it is easy to read everything, but not with the new one, at least not yet. Can you please add the option to aset HUD opacity for a future hotfix / update so we can fully adjust it ? Plus the option to finally move the ICM would be great. Also the option to resize every single hud element manually would be very useful. Currently it is only possible to fully zoom in/out the whole hud.

EDIT: old and still current hud
    AMS2 Hud.jpg

Photoshop edited for comparison and reference:
This is how the new hud elements look, they are big black boxes that you cannot see through and it is very distracting in VR when previously it was a non-issue.
EDIT: I even cropped the Relative in this photoshopped image for comparison.
    757-1.jpg

EDIT2: Also i did mention that the day the new HUD was announced that the Relative leaderboard was showing only the neader 2 cars ahead and behind, but was downvoted when i pointed it out and told it will be fine. It is not fine, old Relative Leaderboard shows nearest 3 cars which was much better especially when lap traffic was involved but now we get less information about the nearest cars. Please make it nearest 3 again.

EDIT3: Non-VR at least the ICM is ABOVE all other hud elements on the bottom left, but when i have stuff like this in VR (the way i play exclusively) then i cannot see anything on the ICM.

Hopefully this feedback helps and please keep the new HUD optional, or Legacy HUD stay in the game until this stuff can be done, would be greatly appreciated.

I love Stockcars USA; I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like yet, but it's very promising. I have one observation: I find the AI more aggressive since the update. I'm getting rear-ended much more often. It's happened to me with GT3s and SuperV8s. I wonder if the level of aggression isn't a bit too high.

Could you please record and post a video that shows how you drive and what the AI does from their point of view too? With AI settings info too.

I never thought I'd have so much fun with oval racing! The new Stock Cars are brilliant! Amazing fun chucking them around road courses as well.

The AI as well is even better. So glad I invested in this sim it keeps getting better and better!

After 1.6.9 None of the LED's on my Fanatec Formula v 2.5 rim work. The wheel is totally blank. I can still drive because the paddle shifters work but there are not RPM lights or gear and speed indicators.

UPDATE: I also have a Universal Hub and it is totally blank also. So that's both of my rims that are blank. Fanatec CSL DD is my base.

Replying here, you are aware those cars never race on an oval when it's wet/raining? This might have something to do with your "issue".

Edit: that car doesn't even have wet tires available on an oval i believe, at least not on Daytona.

The latest "silent" hotfix that just went live addresses the gearbox issue in the Stock USA Gen3 SS variant and mitigates issues with classes that have seen an uptick of incidents & bumper taps with the new AI "brake attack" logic.

Thank you so much for the great update!

Since the update, I've been hearing a crackling sound in my 5.1 system. It sounds like small stone chips! Strange!

    Problem solved!!!

After switching the audio format in Windows 11 to DTS:X and Dolby Atmos and playing a round of each (with no sound in the game), I switched the audio format back to 24-bit 48000 kHz, and the crackling/stone chip sound is now gone.

    Addendum:
There were still about 8-10 crackles per round.
Then I switched the 5.1 speaker setting to 7.1 speakers and then deactivated the two center side speakers.
After that, I had no more crackles.
Everything is working perfectly again now, it's strange, but whatever!!!

I was skeptic at first, but you know, now I am a bit addicted at Stock Gen 1,2, maybe best damage model (at least visually). Spider on the glass, engine cover flying off...etc. It's like Reiza knew that NASCAR + crashes is one inseparable thing upload_2025-12-25_12-16-7.gif Also I made driver ratings with bad mistake_avoidance values. And - with free camera it's a blast! I noticed how detailed tracks are, even some distance away from driving line there is a lot of objects...And physical feeling is very reminiscent of NR2003 (at least for me)! Also good thing is that NASCAR had usually 2 races per year on the main ovals. So Daytona, Pocono...etc is already good thing (some 10 races). Drafting is not very pronounced, but I like cars being a bit spread out. And liveries - ohhh, I miss those spectacular paint jobs.

Only... NASCAR point system (classic) is not introduced in AMS2. But some similar scoring systems are there. Problem is that AMS 2 is randomizing drivers with same points (or no points) in standings. I mean even with no (or same) points, car which finished 31 st should be above the car which finished 37th.

A class that really got pushed into a whole other level by the latest update are the GT4. They were quite on the weaker side of the AMS2 classes since most of them (especially the BMW) felt hard to control when being pushed which quite contradicts them being an entry level class that has TCS and ABS

The new update really transforms them towards what you expect them to be like. Quite stable, soft grip transitions when being too rough, quite forgiving but a lot of fun to drive.

Especially with the AI updates these cars can pushed side by side safely around so many corners when attacking. So don't miss out on the GT4s.

Also love the GT1 Viper now. It's still a beast when being pushed, but in this car you really feel how big the tire update is. You get such good feeling how the slicks do their job to bite in the ground to handle the power of this car on corner exit.

So if anybody else has some classes or cars that really got transformed with the update, feel free to share for others to check them out

No worries there, we are :) Most of the team is on their Holiday break so we´re hardly burning the midnight oil atm. If however there are a few minor glitches that slipped through (as is often the case wiith big updates) that can be fixed within a few clicks between the first morning coffee and the second there´s little reason not to just go ahead and do it ;)
