Because Talladega is not in the game and likely never will be?

Am I getting crazy or did the McLaren F1 GTRs shifting lights change from a light orange to almost red in one of the recent updates?

Fontana and Talladega are two VERY different tracks in all aspects outside of its length and how open wheel cars race on them. It is much closer to a Speedway than a Superspeedway when it comes to tintops and thus tintops with oval variants should have that replicated.

I'm sure there are great explanations for why this isn't the case in AMS 2 at the moment, but I'd bet money the reasoning you gave isn't on that list or even anywhere near it.

Thank you very much but I rather don't want to mess around with these settings too much because everything had been working perfectly well before the update and there are no issues with other games at my end. (As I know Windows 11 - it will mess up my speaker configuration if I deactivate (and reactivate) any speakers. It was a nightmare to deactivate all the unnecessary settings Microsoft thinks we would "need".)

Edit: Okay, I just fumbled with a few settings but nothing did work. I even deactivated my center speaker. As a result the crackling came from the left and right speakers. The only thing that works is to set my channels to "stereo" in Windows. And as I said: Before V 1.6.9 and in every other game I had/have no problems.

I'm still amazed with the work in tyres, suspension, etc this year. Even with AI, that don't run full physics, I guess, things like agressive bump drafting are now so smooth:

I'm not much of an oval racer but I've been really enjoying the stock cars on road courses! Laguna Seca is especially fun in the older generations.

The few times I've tried Ovals though I particularly enjoy how the wake of the car ahead will cause the air brakes to flip up briefly as you move across their rear.
(Before I manage to spin on my own and cause a massive wreck, but that's a skill issue on my part )

The modern Fontana oval is set as a regular Speedway and both Stock Gen2 and Gen3 run SW config there, Gen3 SW with the following power / spoiler spec as per the latest two events there:

Fontana Historic Oval in turn has been added for the F-USA Gen2-3, as for those classes the oval was classified as Superspeedway where they ran the Hanford device.

    Good update.

I can't quite put my finger on it yet, but I have a better feel for the tires. Not in terms of tactile feedback, more in terms of reliability and stability.

I just had a GT4 race at Interlagos, and after 1500 hours of practice, I found the AI a bit boring.

But at 110% difficulty and with only 10 cars, the race started right after the first corner and remained nerve-wracking until the end. With 20 or 47 cars, things get much more chaotic. It's as if the AI is too distracted.

Before, I could easily keep the AI at bay. But just now, I was fighting for every inch with an Audi. 20 laps of overtaking and being overtaken. And then, on the last corner, a Daimler divebombs and passes us both in one fell swoop. Completely fair and without any real mistake on my part or the Audi's.

Just three cars hammering it through the corner. And then the Daimler overtook me on the left and the Audi on the right, all the way to the finish line.

Normally, a lot goes wrong with the AI, but when everything works...
    Oh my god!

    THX REIZA !

I think the Supercar class Corvette Z06 needs way more refinement. Compared to the other supercars it just feels off, as if it has absolutely no grip or aero. The suspension feels way too soft, it get's constantly shaken around by the road. This car should eat the Viper ACR on Nordschleife, but it feels so much worse to drive in comparison

The brake lights look great now, not too dimm and not too bright, thank you @robillard3381

I always liked the GT4 class for the 'slower'/closer racing and the multitude of manufacturers. But as I prefered the GT3 handling I often gravitated towards the faster class.
After reading your recommendation I gave the GT4 class another shot and I really enjoyed the handling. The updated AI also worked like a charm fighting for positions and divebombing me like madlads - felt like I was racing against myself. :D Great job as always, Reiza!

Why should it eat the Viper? (honest question; no sarcasm) The Viper has lots of aero.

I really like how the Corvette and all the other supercars)drive now. There is no lurching anymore when these cars get over 100 kph. They are very stable now in a straight line. I really apprciate the work that has been put into this class.

The ACR in ams2 is not the 2010, should be around 2015, in the list there's a 2017 GTSR edition with a 7.01.

Two questions, can we hope to have a fix for the crackling noise in cockpit view bei all cars on all circuits in the mid speaker of an 5.1 sound system also the non working of sharpening in MSAA ( in vrconfig file ) ? I go back to the previous build 1.6.8 no crackling and all sharp ?

I was just about to post about the crackling sound. I experienced it from the center channel in the McLaren gen2 GT3. Was looking for a fix when I ran across this post.
