Hello. I've been reading you for a while and I decided to create an account just now to share a question. First of all, greetings to everyone.

The question is: why did the puddles disappear? I no longer see water accumulated where I used to see it. All this after 1.6. Is this happening to anyone else?

I reported many months ago that the description of this function in the multiplayer menu is confusing and people turn it off because they think it means you have to do a mandatory pitstop.
Now there is a description added to this function which states that is about a mandatory pitstop, and that is INCORRECT . This setting is meant for "Manual Pitlane Car Control". Sad that the confusing description still remains even after i suggested a better name for it numerous times.

Funny how quiet the Reiza forums are lately. I pretty sure one reason is so many of us trying out the new content. When I say new, the whole sim is completely new again. And now there is SOOOO much content. For me there's new muscle memory training. I'm finding that throttle and brake input matters so much now. The wheel is much more responsive to these now. I find little mistakes don't kill you like in previous versions. All this takes time. After about a week, I see myself gettisng better gaining more confidence. But now there is so much to rediscover. I've been spending a couple hours a night and barely touching anything near all the content.

I'm all finding Buenos Aires 6 becoming one of my faves.

Does anyone else get a little claustrophobic when parked on the grid waiting for the one remaining person to ready up in the lobby whilst using VR? We used to be able to see through the massive list of drivers and look down the grid, now we are boxed in until the race starts. Is there a setting to make the menu transparent again or am I stuck all claustrophobic?

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. Unfortunately for online racing it is not, the opposite quite frankly, it has the potential to prevent AMS2 from growing their player base and get more online racers on board. If you haven't seen this bug yet then I probably got extremely unlucky, but this is something people are discussing in LFM and RCO discord so it seems I'm not dreaming.

Anyways, I'm not moaning and I don't want to belittle V1.6, the update is great and for that exact reason that it elevated AMS2 to a new level with great news about the MP side of things it is such a shame to see this bug come back. As I said, it got a lot better with the auto-advance option but it seems there are still issues even when it's enabled.

Yep, puddles on the racing line have been reduced. They were too big and annoying, I think (not 100% sure) they might start to appear after long periods of storm conditions, much smaller and manageable than before.

Welcome to the forum. How water accumulates on the track has changed, puddles take longer to build up now and drainage works in a more realistic way. It's part of the update and not a bug on your end.

Pretty sure it will be wild again as soon as news of update 1.7 surfaces.

@Mazdaspeed @Xzanman Hey, thanks a lot for your reply. I found it a strange change but I will continue trying and enjoying this great simulator. Regards

Reiza constantly confirms that is stable financially. It now is clocking the most users its ever had. Most reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. It is likely the best SP sim now. So how is a bug that affects a small percentage of users going to bring Reiza down?

Also, most of the bugs, and inconsistencies have been eliminated or negated. It gives them more time to track down wonky things. Yea, sticking to my minor bug stance. Even if it's a major one, it ain't gonna kill Reiza or its user base. Enjoy what you can of this fantastic game. Reiza shows they are dedicated to honing AMS2 to be the best it can be. Let them stress over it.

I say all this b/c in this world of corporate de-personalization, Reiza is showing a refreshing love of its customer base. Breathe deep. Think positive racing thoughts. Nail those apexes, balance your inputs and perfect trail braking!

I think it gets wild again when Project Motor Sports produces what they got. I'm eager to see how Reiza cooperates with them.

Well I'm not a lawyer but I'd be surprised if EA would buy codemasters who bought Project cars for figures reported like $30 million and they'd just sit back if one of the people they handed the money too started using the Madness engine again.

Yes, that's why Reiza will help them ;) It will be the old madness source code with a new graphics engine. SMS rummaged around in physics for almost a decade and in 4 years didn't even achieve half of what Reiza did. For that you have to admit that they made a model so good that even today an Audi V8 from an old pc looks good in AMS2

I read that it was a lawnmower game engine, one that is really good in VR hopefully. I can't wait. Grass physics will be amazing

Excuse me, where did I say it'll bring Reiza down? I'm not a native English speaker but please read again what I wrote. Discussing things that nobody said makes no sense.

If that's the case codemasters or EA lawyers must be real mugs because they bought it off the guy and then he gets to keep it too? Hmm, somehow I doubt that will work.
