Other sims aren't the benchmark, luckily...
There are many possible causes for an uneasy rear on-throttle.
Tire temp, track conditions, diff setting, tire compound, skill with throttle foot, etc...
TC-equipped cars should suffer way less from this phenomenon, and from what I've heard this is being looked at.
I think what makes it weird and "unnatural" is not so much the rear kicking out when it does, it's the typical little fishtail you get and rarely actually losing the car because of current forgiving slip-angle...
We can't seem to shake the fallacy that assumes one "correct" side of the physics equation, therefor deviating models must be fundamentally flawed in some way.
If we leave AC and ACC out of the picture for now, for which Kunos us their own proprietary engine(the end result between the two being WILDLY different in feel and handling), you're left with the likes of rFactor2, RRE, ams1 and even LMU(correct if wrong) still build on what is their own tweak of an ISImotor engine, which has been around for a very long time now.
The benefit of which is very solid feel and handling with no big surprises.
I like ams1 the best out of that bunch.
Raceroom to me is downright boring. Basic physics model is fine, but very on-rails and lacks any dynamicism in surface interaction with bumps, kerbs and the like. Let's say to me at least it's clearly showing its limitations, but I digress...

Here's what I suggest; wait for 1.6 to actually go into release candidate:D
Don't use Long Beach as a test track for this either lol!
These 2 items above should go a long way to alleviate the issue me thinks...
Beyond that, it's track/tire temp, car setup(rollbar, suspension, diff), TC setting and maybe even throttle-foot habits/shifting habits like Mike going down to 1st every damn corner lol.

But to suggest it shouldn't happen at all because other sims seem to be better behaved in this field in general, is imo painting with too broad of a brush...

If all goes to plan I think what we should see in 1.6 is the "murdery" type cars like group C should spin us easier in these corner-exit scenarios, with critical slip-angle reached sooner than is currently the case. And the TC(that needs some TLC:p)cars should still save you to a certain extent.

Best of luck on what little remains of the wait now! Take care...

Will there be a tool to generate previews for liveries provided by mods?

But my point is perpendicular to gear, feeling, other sims, etc.
When I said 100% brake in AMS2 I mean keep the in-game pedal indicator full red. That should translate in max braking power on every car.

The driving style looks like the Mabix video above...doesn't look so dynamic in iRacing...:)

iRacing tires would be approaching the surface temperature of the sun if driven like that.

Daan likes to work any car he drives hard. Also has some laps in the Super Trofeo and the 991.2 cup on his channel where he pushes it quite hard. The Porsche looks pretty familiar compared to the one AMS 2 has when pushing it, including the bouncy bounce :)

Wow the new shaders really make a difference. ;) The colors look a little cartoony though ... I like my racing sims like my real life: Grey, dull and depressing. (Yes, I am from Germany.)
    *Sarcasm off*
Thank you CrimsonEminence for the video - Lambo DLC here I come!

These new GT3 class cars will be perfect for racing around that famous German circuit known as "The Grey Hell".

That move at 3:58 cracked me up...looked like footage from my sim rig between losing the wheel completely and stubbing a finger against the wheel. Good to see even the pros have a few "ahh ****!" moments.

Can anyone (staff or beta testers) tell me about custom AI parameters in 1.6?

I understand that in 1.5 fuel consumption and tyre wear are disabled. Fuel consumption, when active, was only availble on ovals if memory serves me correctly, is this being expanded to all tracks? Also I remember something about a new braking skill parameter.

    .

It would be nice to specify which livery each ai car uses in multilayer races, so you can replicate a proper grid and not have multiple duplicates.

And for the love of God, a "skip to next session" button with "vote yes/no".

LOL that was a proper struggle under braking until he changed engine brake and ABS.
