Ultimately as someone who has to deal directly with the public in a sales environment I don’t think enough has been relayed with regards to 1.6 release for the AMS2 owners that don’t have beta access. Information has been teased but likely too early giving people false hope.

In all walks of life people tend to excel in certain areas and as a relatively small company I would imagine there are far more IT and software engineers? Than marketing people, someone we excels at programming won’t necessarily be that great at marketing…….

Am I frustrated, yes, do I moan privately to myself, yes! Sadly after that it’s out of our control. Do I hope lessons are learned for the future? Yes!

Good eta information = happy customers!

    Peace to everyone ✌️

Depends on where you live and what you have already purchased and when.
For me, I've already spent £95 in RR and its £107 if I add all current missing content. Thats £202 or 243 euro. Not even close to AMS2.

I would add that after trying RR recently the driving dynamics just feel 'canned' to me. Too easy in any car.

I don't get the love for RRE. FFB feels numb to me. I don't get a feeling of body roll like I do in AMS2. I do like the variety of tracks they have, but not enough to hook me for long. I also get crappy fps b/c of cpu bottleneck b/c dx9

When I had a ****ty G25 wheel RR felt good. So maybe the experience depends on the players hardware.

The Beta has now reached Release Candidate 3, and although there is still some work ongoing for a 4th i don´t think anyone will still be here throwing your proverbial cards into the proverbial hat by this time next week. Hasn´t taken that long has it ;)

In the meantime, I´m wrapping up all the important info around it that would be valuable for you to be aware to maximise your experience with V1.6 . Soon

First sorry for off topic post.
RRE has most realistic ffb of all sims. In all sims even in rFactor 2 you can get some canned effects but in RRE they are off by default. You get the most raw effect of what car and tyres are doing. Maybe it's wheel base setup thing, also of course some cars feel better than others like in every sim but in general RRE wins. The feel of load and that nervous engine of DTM 2012/2013 cars in unparraleled, you feel the difficulty and understand what car is doing so you have to accomodate the driving style and learn to push little by little until find the limit but even then the tyres play big part in this, how hot and damaged are they. Maybe it's not fair to compare but only nervous car that I can compare to the scenario I wrote above is V8 supercar in AMS2 but feel of driving is night and they, in AMS2 you actually fight the car all the time instead of enjoying it, AMS1 does this much better and is comparable to RRE. Maybe it's a setup thing but I never enjoyed these types of cars just becouse experience is much different in these two sims and I prefer the feel of RRE.

IF RaceRoom FFB is the most realistic, it's also the one I find the most boring to use. Maybe realism is not the best we can / should do in Simulations. Afterall, aren't we missing out on so much feedback in the virtual space already?

FFB is super subjective, but imo, Raceroom continues the feeling of GTR2, AMS1, Rfactor, etc., and that might be why I (and so many others) continue to love how it feels. Its informative in a really good way and has a nice road feel / weight of cars.

As far as being "too easy", one thing with Raceroom is the weird TC settings. For a while i was just dropping TC to preset 1, and it felt really easy and weird. Those presets are actually not what you'd expect to see after playing other sims. Usually TC6 is the most challenging, and each individual preset can be configured in the car setup. Once you take TC off / lower it, the cars get a lot more lively and fun.

Anyway, one more week and we can all see how AMS2 v1.6 changes the game and i cannot wait!

Agree, I find it not enough to have just a real car FFB in a sim. I need more.
Madness Engine custom FFB capabilities is something I really enjoy (too bad we don't get documentation about it, but that could be something Reiza is contractually obligated to)
