Unfortunate but also pretty much what happened in real life DTM. Wait until the Alfa Romeo 155 comes along.

There’s a good ‘91 DTM skin pack with AI that helps even out the field a little bit.

 

The Alfa 155 was a completely different set of regulations, so if it comes to AMS2 it won't be in the current Group A class

 

Then just rename the car class to DTM, then also add Ford and Opel along the Alfa Romeo.

 

Hi, short question from someone who does not really watch motorsport, why is the GTE class not included in any of the Endurance presets? Where does this class fit IRL?

 

In 2021, IMSA announced that the GTE class would be replaced with a GT3 based GTD pro class

I'm pretty sure the GTEs are in the Euro Endurance 2019 preset, the only one they should be in.

 

The Group A (which we currently have in game) and the Class 1 cars which came after (like the Alfa 155 2.5 V6) are very far in part in terms of ruleset and performance, it doesn't really make sense to put them together.

 

To be honest if you watch the brakes when you have damaged them you will notice that they become red much quicker than at the beginning of the race. That is how I found out apart from braking distance becoming longer

After adding Audi to the game there is no real racing results, it's too fast, I've been in races where all the leaders were Audi, whoever wants to win won't take anything else.
If we rely on the results of the 1990 race, then Audi needs to be nerfed,in order to have competition.
Go to the time trial at Imola 1988 and look at the results, we took lessons in racing on this track

 

Then race it against other cars. Your complaint reflects what MB and BMW were saying at the time. They forced a design on Audi that the company could not accept. It left DTM after that.

 

i understand you, but you don't understand me, this is not real racing, audi is not going anywhere from here, this class is not balanced at the moment, that's why my community doesn't want to do DTM races anymore

 

This is a difficult problem to solve... the game is an attempt to simulate real racing series. I find it mesmerising and great that the Audi tends to win, because well it's 4wd and this is precisely the effect that that car had on real DTM. I personally prefer it the way it is. If the Audi was not winning 'more' people would say 'this is so unrealistic'.

Why not forbid Audi for your 'community' to make it 'fair'?

 

Many in our community were waiting for Audi and we can't do this to them, but even those who like MB or BMW have to choose Audi if they want to win, so we decided to put it on hold altogether

 

I am pretty sure people would appreciate if there were ballast settings ON / OFF and also "add X weight" to make cars equal performance-wise in any class. Especially for multiplayer it would be a nice addition because honestly it is not fun to race in a competition if you know your car has exactly zero chance to be anywhere near the top 5 even. I personally will never choose the BMW or Mercedes in the Group A class in LFM because you can only ever win with the Audi right now.

Flashing the lights to raise the awareness of racing opponents (either REAL or AI) is a essential part of racing nowadays!

 

I actually enjoy driving all three b/c you have to drive each differently to get the best out of them. I think the Audi struggles with tires at some circuits b/c of its weight. Despite the Audi having way more power, it could not win every race. Racing ain't always about having the fastest car.

 

It's a sad, sad world.

 

I'd say it mostly depends on the track. At Cascais the audis were unstopable, but if LFM were to choose cadwell park, the audi would be a dog, even at Cascais the audis were really slow through the first couple of corners, I could brake at 100m with the BMW and I had to brake at 130m with the Audi. Something similar happened in GT1, at Spa the porsche was quick, but at Lemans it was a dog on the straight and the Nissan was the OP car.. I'd would love something like a ballast system to equal the competition aswell, but to say there's a defenitely OP car, is just not what it is.
