while more options arent bad idea , you wouldn’t be able to have a great difference between left and right blanking , I don’t think the cooling properties are significant enough on a hot day to avoid tire fire on loaded corner , but having imbalance of brake temps would make for some irregular braking performance.

Yup, the brakes are proper cr@p, but the car is actually tame to drive on race trim once you get used to the brakes. On qualifying it's a bit trickier, again thanks to the brakes, but it has so much power and acceleration that you are faster than you think due to the sheer speed on the straights.

For a proper challenge try it on a soaked track with 90+ boost, definitely one of the hardest combos in the game.

-=edit=- Tried again, now at old Silverstone, in old Porsche and succesfully chased a ghost. Will try again at Nordschleife...

on the NOS it is rarely possible to load a ghost due to the size of the race track

Wasn't sure about Brands Hatch, but it can be included too.

In addition to what others have said, try the Model 3 (the other turbo) in the same class. It is a slightly tamer cousin to the BT52 (less powerful and less explosive turbo).

But either of the turbos were two of the most notoriously challenging cars to handle in all of F1 history. You have power at levels the chassis and brakes were not yet ready to handle, and in the case of the turbos, the most incredibly peaky torque curves imaginable. Nothing...a little bit...a little bit more...and then BOOM, torque beyond belief almost...just in time to change to the next gear (with a manual shifter). Don't be sad or sorry if you cannot handle these beasts until you are truly expert at many other classes in the game. They should be some of the last cars on anyone's training list.

I'm in awe of anyone who drove these monsters back then. They were way less reliable, more dangerous and much more demanding. Mass respect!

At Nords yes, driving the new Corvette with the z07 update, i can choose other cars but not my own or any other Corvette for the ghost.

Thanks, yes i believe you’re right with regards to hot day. I’m speaking more about colder conditions, it’s really hard to get tire with proper temperature in some circuits, normally one tire is always sub optimal , and in this case having this option would make it for a more uniform tire temperature overall.

Have you tried just adjusting the air in that tire?

Yes, for sure i play with settings to mitigate that. I also realize currently setup options are already fine. It’s just that as Reiza is really honing the sim and improving all the time our options and the real life correlation with race in general, and considering the impact of tire temperature on overall car performance with update 1.6, it would be great to have this flexibility as in real life racing. But I get that if this is something that demands 130h work time for devs to implement it, I’m fine in letting them focus on new career mode etc.

@Kuku is right. You would address this with a simple and safe tire pressure change, not playing with potentially imbalanced braking performance that could bite you in other ways.

Yes, good point, I haven’t thought about unintended impact on braking; I asked that because I noticed that on F2 and F3 races where it’s easy to spot brake duct cover that there was asymmetrical cooling on left and right brake ducts in circuits like Red Bull Ring, where there are much more right corners than left. Since my issue is more related to colder conditions, I believe brake efficiency wouldn’t be that affected. But this is my speculation only, I might be wrong of course

I saw one post about fps drops since update 1.6 but it's really hard to find out if an answer was provided.

I'm also experiencing fps drops during a race about 20 minutes in. After that, the fps stays low until the end of the race. This is in VR. As soon as I restart (of start a new) session, performance is back to normal.

It was reported in the Support forum as well but no answer so far.

Anybody knows anything that could help?

The game has a memory leak since 1.6 so just have to wait for a fix from Reiza.

How do you know it is a memory leak ? Have people observed memory usage ballooning in the Windows Task Manager ?
Speaking of which, the game statically pre-allocates most (or all) of its memory on startup, making a memory leak unlikely. Also a memory leak is unlikely to cause huge frame drops unless maybe it starts hitting swap memory backed by storage.
Not all sudden frame loss are caused by memory leaks. It could well be some specific conditions triggering a sub-optimal code path in the game's main thread, slowing everything down. Could also be GPU usage that somewhat gets sub-optimal for a while.

Let's hope for a solution. It's annoying to have low fps with a GPU at half it's power and another 40GB of RAM to spare (with all services, Chrome with an infinite number of tabs, SimHub feeding 6 hardware devices, CrewChief, etc., I rarely see more than 20-22Gb used).

@Reiza, please can you fix the bug of multi class custom championships not working. Its been around as long as i can remember. Where can we post bug reports which will be read and aknowledged?

If its never worked, then maybe its a feature not implemented, rather than a bug?

Maybe not a memory leak, but there is something very wrong. FPS dips out of nowhere happening to many, many people. Experienced it first time last week. I usually only race AI offline, but I was testing with a Multiplayer race against AI with rating turned on. It started in qualification and continued on into the race, so this isn't just on LFM. I have my system setup to only use 55% of resources, so plenty of headroom.
