What a beauty Zandvoort is

 

Is there any plan to add the 'short' version of Road Atlanta? (where the road goes round to the right at the bottom of the hill)
It's not a big difference to the main track to be fair, might not be worth the effort, just curious

 

"Autódromo Yahuarcocha" has a real Reverse layout, but what if AMS2 allowed all tracks to be driven in reverse ? I recorded Interlagos, Monza and Spa how it would look. Would be cheeky way to double the amount of tracks in the game too.

 

while some tracks are a lot of fun in reverse, especially Nords , it’s very naive to think it’s a easy ( cheeky) way to double tracks ,
Every model would need to be revisited for obvious reasons . The amount of hours required just for redoing all the track cameras alone would make it a 2 year plan .

Then because Reiza take stuff seriously, all the tracks would need all the markers redone , all the barriers would need looked at, then all the AI lines etc etc
It’s a long list .

 

I never said it is an easy thing to do, cheeky = funny. I of course know that it would take time to do AI lines and place brake markers so in the end it is not worth doing for the extra workload that would be required for 100+ tracks, but driving on reverse tracks for the video was still a fun drive because it felt new.

 

Never been a big fan of reverse layouts, as most run off areas don´t make any sense anymore. But each to one´s own - if we got a few of those I am not forced to use them.

 

Driving Bathurst in reverse gave me a whole new view of the elevation change from T1 to T3.

 

All the AC Evo road car reveals got me trying the Polo and Virtus again

(They're pretty good, honestly!)

 

I actually tried Ibarra Reverse for the first time a few weeks ago and I love it. Imo it's more fun than the original layout.

 

You can already run a bunch of these tracks in Assetto Corsa backwards. They are great. This is sim racing. And more importantly, for fun. It doesn't always have to be some "that's not allowed", real life only or else scenario. Showing a video on why real life races aren't run backwards on tracks shouldn't even apply here.
Try them yourself. I'm sure most everyone here has AC. I'm all for utilizing the resources already available and adding more variety.
Reverse Layouts

 

Do we know if REIZA is planning to implement any upscaling technology like DLSS or FSR? I'm considering getting an RTX 5080 and wondering if it's worth it for AMS2. I've read somewhere that Reiza is working on a new rendering pipeline for AMS2, and I hope this will bring improvements in image quality, aliasing, shadows, and remove color dithering. While I'd love to see ray tracing and global illumination, it could be too much for the Madness Engine to handle these rendering techniques.

All the road car reveals have pretty much killed my interest for ACE.

 

Yeah, it's very underwhelming so far. I'll drive the 911 GT3 Cup and the 488 Challenge EVO, but nothing is really appealing to me for now. Why are there so many road cars? I hope the second batch of cars will include more proper race cars.

 

The only thing i want to know about Ac evo is, when the game will be moddable, there will be a new content manager for this game, and can we skip the ingame economy, and create custom championship with the cars i want ?

 

I’m looking forward to AC Evo so I can have a chill sim

 

How are folks finding the Audi R8 GT4 to drive?

 

I think it feels very credible but perhaps a bit peaky.
Didnt drive the other gt4's since 1.6 though, so cant really compare

 

Run (a lot of laps) with it for the first time yesterday, no complaints...
