Similar to all "Audi" brand modern GTs, a bit weird. They all have this very twitchy rear on braking, they don't inspire confidence in heavy braking zone. Their suspension overall also feels off (which I kind of dicussed in my damper thread), very hard to get a stable aero platform, they all tend to move a lot in high speed corners (which is more ok for the ST and the GT4, but still). And finally overall they still all have way too much power, you cant put max wing on them and laugh at other on straights running mid to low wings. R8 or Huracan all the same.

It’s definitely not my favourite car ( especially as the Camaro exits ) and I generally don’t suit mid engined cars with my driving style.
But I struggle to get the weight over the front axle , maybe it’s better on high fuel … with something to counter the big engine at the back .
But I can feel the front get light under power .
It kinda sits high , but I guess it’s road car based.
I’ve driven a few R8s in real life , but not at these speeds and they felt well balanced, but Quattro helps .

I’d love the ability to exclude certain conditions from random weather , some like storm and heavy fog aren’t realistic.

so what happen last year with with Heavy Fog interrupting big races like Spa wasn’t real ?
Or the Massive storm that affected Interlagos F1 which turned the day to night in moments wasn’t real?

but the option to choose isn’t an unreasonable request to be honest.
There are locations where it’s not very likely .

I know it happens , Like the N24hr that was cut short and many F1 races interrupted.
Maybe I didn’t explain correctly by say unrealistic , I meant that it was unrealistic that the race would continue in some of that extreme weather and with no way of a red flag or delay ingame I’d like the ability to exclude those weather options entirely from practice qually or race. It’s good to have them as options for those who want it but also would be nice to have the option to turn off.

What is not real is no red flags in the game to stop and restart the race once the weather gets better.

Are we sure that the ai improved? They are neither giving way nor avoid contact. I didn't see any improvements. It's just as bad as before. They are always using the ideal racing line

I doubt to many people want to stop and sit in the pit for an hour or more …

I doubt it would be simulated to that extreme. For all the crap people talk about F1 games, F1 23 has just a timeskip for red flags. Then again AMS2 has the livetrack feature that does not allow us to skip laps in replays so i am certain livetrack would not allow us to skip a thunderstorm. Maybe it would do the 20x speed increase as a timeskip, problem solved no waiting for 1 hour ?

I have my own opinions of the AI but in regards of them not giving you room, do you have a video recording of it happening, are you able to record a video with the radar / chase cam or any other way of seeing the AI how they behave around you ?

I am still having the opposite problem of the AI giving me too much room and are easy to exploit as they move away to let you hold any line i want .

I really don’t get the point. seems like Picking and choosing your realism from hard core reality to complete fantasy and time travel .
Seems to be a common theme..

Don't understand your counter-arguments. We already have systems in the game where Qualifying can begin at 8 in the morning and have the race at 8 in the evening right after. Is that not your "fantasy and time travel" that you are describing ?

Having red flags and a time skip would not be hardcore realistic but it would fix what you described as an issue of having to wait for who knows how long in the pits doing nothing, so why complain it is fantasy ?

Heck we can already disable mechanical failures, car damage, remove fuel usage and tirewear, we can literally teleport from anywhere on the track right into the pits during Practice and Qualifying and there is also a Car Reset . There is already a long list of fantasy stuff in every racing game on the market including AMS2 so having a simple time skip during a red flag is not a wacky idea in the slightest, it is convenience.

Can the "Automatic by weather" option in the pit strategy menu please be removed ? It is causing more problems than good because if you select it either on purpose or accidentally it can put you on wets when slicks would be better and vice versa.

Sure during the pre-race preparation the "Auto by Weather" is useful, but not so much in the pit strategy menu where it is causing only issues. There were so many races in which someone told me they had the other compoud put on compared to what they wanted when weather was changing because the game still decided it is either still too wet or still too dry and they had to make another stop.

Just force people to manually select between "None / (whatever type of) Slicks / Wets".

Go into the tracks trd file, look at the weather weights and change that weathers value to zero.

With reverse layouts they would become run ON areas instead :D. And even if it is unrealistic from a driver safety standpoint it is still cool to see something like RedBull Ring in reverse.

Yes it's something I've tried. You can try it too. Make a copy of the original for safe keeping. They needed to be added to the mod tracks and they work. I'm not sure if anything like that would affect multiplayer. The weather of multiplayer would only be picked by the one setting up the server?

As another user said, this can be a bit subjective, so I have my own opinion too - the only difference I've seen in the AI is that it's slower when exiting or returning to the pits and under blue flags. Other problems persist such as: still forming a train, two or three cars fighting for position lap after lap, side by side and without losing pace, stepping on two or more wheels off the track without losing speed, leaving the pit even without time to open a qualy lap and also not losing performance with fuel weight, among others.
