So what era should get the livery pack treatment first ? I am thinking of 1992. Although NextGen is very fitting for road courses but making those liveries took a month of insane work to put together when i made them for the Brazil Stock Cars 2021 class. Either way hoping the UV maps will be sensible for these, cannot wait to start working on them !

Definitely 1992. Some iconic liveries (or paint schemes, as they are called in NASCAR) to play with! :)

Curious to see how NASCAR will turn out in AMS2. We'll need a bunch of new ovals to fully experience these cars.

With nascar coming we need the lucky dog rule to be implemented in ovals, hoping that it gets added to road later on with the lapped cars being able to pass the safety car to recover one lap.

Proper unlapping rules in general need to be implemented, here is hoping in some form the safety car rules will be expanded with this for ovals and road courses.

Of course, more ovals would be pretty great for these cars. But i'm also looking forward to thrashing the old cars from 1980 and 1992 around the “normal” tracks, that should be entertaining. And what fantastic skinsets you'll have once the modders get going…

Some people are actually not aware that as early as the 1954 Nascar races on road courses.
From what is in AMS2 it is also tracks like Watkins Glen and Road America, but in the late 90's there were also races at Suzuka.

I actually quite like driving NASCAR on road courses, they just don't drive like they're on rails like GT3s and that's a big part of the fun for me. I also bought the 1980s NASCARs in Iracing and use them almost exclusively for road courses.

Yes, that's why this move toward NASCAR makes me a bit skeptical. NASCAR is a very different series from the rest in terms of rules, procedures, tracks, etc. It will require some significant additions to the base sim in order to be interesting.

True, road courses have always part of the sport, but NASCAR is really about ovals. There are some iconic ovals that would really make AMS2 a real NASCAR sim, like Darlington, Bristol, Martinsville, Atlanta, Charlotte... Just a suggestion...

Are they the NASCAR cars from the Brazilian series? Or are they based on the American ones? Honestly, I wouldn't even know how the specifications differ between the two series, haha.

American. There is no "NextGen" in Brazil and Nascar definitely was not raced in Brazil in the 80's. Brazil Nascar started in 2012.

Should there be an option to customize your grids instead of having to extract a file?
