FSR for OpenVR

Is this working with the latest AMS2 release? I'm intrigued by it but don't have the time to try it just yet, thanks

 

today I used openvr_fsr_v2.0.zip with AMS2 and it worked. At least I didn't get a crash.

How were the improvements over the previous version? Did you try it with NIS as well as FSR?

 

I get a bug splat with this, have to use the modified one still.

 

What Version of AM2 do you use? I tried it today and get a crash on startup. Yesterday it installedthe first Hotfix for newest AM2. What GPU do you use? Which nvidia Driver? Mine was updating yesterday as well…

 

Sorry guys, it only works with 1.3. I had it run through Oculus Link :-(

Yeah but is the same dll as V2.0 and did not work either. But its nice to hock the new dll the easy way.

 

So, given that v2 has NIS support, @NuScorpii - is there a way to update so we can see if NIS gives better returns than FSR in AMS2 VR please?

 

Anyone know if NuScorpii is still around? He is our only hope…

 

OpenVR FSR 2.0 (via openvr_fsr_app) is working fine for me (including NIS), but only if SteamVR is initialised before starting AMS2. If I rely on AMS2 starting up SteamVR then it will bugsplat.

 

I get a bugsplat following this method, are you using the app to install the plugin for just AMS2 or steamvr and/or mixed reality as well if you have a reverb g2? Even in the app it indicates an incompatibility for AMS2.

Hmm, sadly I can’t get it to work without bugsplat. Could be the addition of needing windows mixed reality running. I launch windows mixed reality, which then launched steamvr and then I launch AMS2 in VR mode last. Then bugsplat. Curious if you are using a Quest, someone else posted it worked and they were using a quest via link cable. I am using a reverb g2.

 

Testing more, it turns out that AMS2 was running using the Oculus runtime rather than SteamVR even when I told it to use SteamVR: Launch in Steam VR mode actually launches in Oculus VR mode (now solved).

 

This isn't working for me... I did install the ADV app as mentioned. After it crashes I can confirming relaunching only gives SteamVR option but still continues to crash...

Any other tips? I did restart...
