    Hi everyone.
I'm new to ams2. I buy the game 2 weeks ago. So far I like it.
I'm also a G29 user. Until now, I didn't find the "perfect" ffb setting. @cuadolo , I just tried your setting, and I love it ! I just have one "problem" : I don't feel suspension on "hard" bump. For exemple, on Kansai GP, in the last chicane, the bumper are "high", but I don't feel them if I drive on them, like with the default profile. Any idea witch parameters I can tweak for that ?
I already try playing with the in-game sliders, but don't seems to change that...

And, sorry if my English are bad, it's not my native language...

In the file, try to tweak these parameters:

    # Road features settings
    #

    (texture_scale 1.0)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.5)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 1.0)
(kerb_bump_scale 1.0) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
    (micro_bumps_smooth 0.008)
    (kerbs_surface_smooth 0.03)
    (rear_bump_scale 0.35)
(suspension_scale 0.30) #how much the suspension is felt.

    Hope it works!

Every parameter add a single feature on your wheel.
I remember when I first used this custom file I had to lower the curb response because it was too harsh.
The steering wheel threw me across the curb.
Try to change ONE PARAMETER AT A TIME and test on a track that you think can give you good feedback.
The FFb it's a personal taste question
    Have a good work!
    :)

it's been a few weeks since I last tried AMS2, feels like the "deadzone" is a bit worst on the last update for the G29 =/
is there anything I could do to improve it?

Around here you can find some custom FFB files to try.
I have a g27 that suffer also for the lack of forces @centre.
With the proper FFB custom files, this problem is gone :)

Read carefully every post that has the custom FFB file as an attachment. It is important, to test that file, to also have the general settings, both of the steering wheel in the Logitech control panel, and in AMS2 with the configurations recommended in the post.

With my G25, I found that Reiza's default V1.5 profiles, with Damping and FX set to 0, helped to remove the center deadzone. Incidentally, Damping of 0 for the G25 is recommended anyway; the only update was zeroing FX too to kill off unwanted vibrations while benefiting from baseline EPAS modeling in the default profiles (relative to the Basic model).

If any other Logitech users (or anyone with a wheel, for that matter) would make the effort to utilize the methodology (see attached), I'd really appreciate the opportunity to test its reproducibility among other simracers. If nothing else, you ought to come away with a better skillset for FFB tuning.

Oh, and there is a link at the end of the article that leads to a collection of custom FFB files, if it comes to that.

    Ciao,
scusami ma ho visto che sei italiano ed io so pochissimo l'inglese. Volevo solo capire meglio questa frase: "For each type of car I keep the FFB around 50-55", da dove imposti questi valori?
    Grazie

    Hi logitech users!
I'm here again with some improvements, experiments to reach the better feel with AMS2 FFB.
    G27 452816872_3690648374542562_6834699363830721725_n.jpg 454744435_448828424817706_2564498260957463393_n.jpg
An update to the custom FFB file is done.
And new few parameters tweaked in main Logitech's control settings and in game.
I tried to get a better response and a better feeling of resistance during the initiation of the curve, to feel the car better.
I found that a default parameter in the FFB custom file slowed down the force feedback response and made the ride a bit "spongy"

    Here the news:

    Hi all Logitech customers!
I just wanted to share the latest developments on the custom FFB study.
I discovered that there was a value in the file strings that slowed down the steering wheel response:
"(tyre_resistance1_timing 0.010) #higher for larger time build up of resistance force."

By setting all the values (there are three strings to adjust) to zero, the steering wheel responds better: it is more direct.
I adjusted the forces, both minimum and maximum for cars with low downforce and high downforce.
And I increased the force at the center.
The result is a very sensitive FFB, which communicates well, in my opinion, what the car is doing.
With all the limitations of the Logitech, it seems like a good compromise to me.
If you want to try it, I'll leave the file here.

In the Logitech panel my values are:

    -Degrees of rotation 900°
    -Global effects strength 102%
    -Spring effect strength 0%
    -Damper effect strength 0%

    And in AMS2:

    -Gain 38
    -Low Force Boost 83
    -FX 48
    -Damping 0
    -Menu spring strength 0
With each car I keep the force around 55%: I prefer sensations to brute force.

    Thanks for reading.
Good races, good tests, waiting for 1.6 (it seems that we are almost there)

    Hi !
    I'm back on Automobilista.
For now I try to find good FFB with the G29.
@cuadolo , your setting feel pretty good. Just one thing : too much vibration on center while on straight line. What line could influence this?

    (Sorry for my english...)
    Thanks !

    Hi Mikdream!
Have you also used the settings in the Logitech control panel and AMS2?
I don't have that vibration in straight lines, but I'll see if I can find something that can reduce it for you.
    :)

Edit: try first with the FX slider lowering a bit the value.
    :)
