Judging by the several videos i've seen cars look VERY in control... also, in the wet the grip is ridiculously high, i think i'll wait by now...
I really hope there's a small and fun FWD car in the near future. The Clio Cup or even a Sandero RS Cup would be a great addition to AMS2 since the Minis are now gone.
I can assure you the grip in the wet is not ridiculously high. It is probably quite plausible for many of the vehicles and will be tweaked to be realistic for all in short order. What I can tell you is that the wet grip is progressive based on how much wet/water is on the track, not a silly on-off switch of grip like some other sims.
Thanks! What about tires? I've seen people abusing tires, drifting, etçª and no loss of grip on following corners, is this going to change too?
Probably car dependent because I had headlights (once toggled on, this is not automatic) with one of the car (can't remember exactly which one).
Maybe I am such a noob that I can spin everything but really, tires are ok, you can spin and destroy them... About driving on water I can say it is quite challenging, I tried Chevette at Oulton and set the weather progression like this light rain> heavy rain> storm> fog + rain...the first couple of laps I was able to stay on track but lap after lap puddles and water were so difficult to master that I enjoyed every single meter off track lol
I think they will go on at a certain time in the evening? But there might be more to that like the sprinter series, their rear lights don't work at all so maybe these cars have no lights as they never do night racing? I'm pretty sure the player will be able to toggle lights on n off when the game gets updated.
I tried at Adelaide at midnight (beautiful track at night!) with the Ultima GTR Race. Oponents had their headlight on automatically, and toggling your car's headlights on/off (it is off by default) works as long as you have assigned a shortcut for it in settings (there is none by default). This may not work with all cars yet (assuming those that have headlights), but with the Ultima it does.
All cars that have actual headlights should have it operational - if they dont its a bug and youre welcome to report it. if the car has no headlight, or a sticker for a headlight (as is the case with StockV8 for ex), then they wont work (unlike AMS1 where we offered “magical” stickers )
thank you, without "magical stickers' in AMS2, you reduce yourself very hardly the content we can use by night, not a good strategy , my opinion. I understand that the Formula cars are not for the night, but all others should be playable by night. AMS 2 shoud be an evolution from AMS1, not a step back.
