I find it perfectly comfortable to use in VR in AMS2. If you do prefer to use the monitor for UI interaction while using VR you don't have to worry about recentre as the mirrored view on the monitor only has the 3d world view affected by HMD position. The UI on the monitor stays drawn at monitor scale exactly as it would be in normal non VR operation. I use it this way often when we run internal multiplayer tests.
[/ QUOTE] make a video
Would I be correct in assuming that the FFB "Low Force Boost" functionality is basically able to raise the floor / compress the input signal range on wheels where linearity is a problem (i.e. nothing happens before the force intensity goes over e.g. 10% out of 100%) such that the dreaded "nothing happens around TDC and then suddenly you meet a force 'wall'" can be avoided?
Really looking forward for those classic formula cars! Reiza Formula is best Formula (in general not just the Reiza Formula in particular)
hum...you talk as a modder not as common user so you are basically asking for modding support.... About content we will have old one and new one so it's a win win for everyone loved AMS content and is looking for something new too... Not fanboys here, just hyped!
I don't think it's being a fanboy looking forward to an AMS1 sim quality but with fantastic gfx and plenty of features like VR and many others this time...
@DaVeX A few hours ago I booted up rFactor 2 again after a month or 4 . I was like wowaaa what is this mess. Now I am deleting it. Have put lots of hours innit, tho, but rFactor 2 is showing it's age and AMS, AC and ACC offer a way better package for me; Mostly cause the FFB is superior. *Reiza Fanboy Mode activated*
Well, nothing personal against rF2 but...deffo something isn't working on that sim... Btw, hope to see you on track with us soon or later, due to commitments I can barely race for now but AMS is always in my mind lol
I just had a great race in Rf2; the sense of tire grip is still amazing to me but, AMS is right up there too. ACC on the other hand, I can't come to grips (literally) with the FFB in that title. I get no sense of what's' going on with the tires and can't see why it's often considered to be the best but, other aspects are very good. I've also been playing more PC2 lately to further develop some car setups and FFB that really push the physics. I'm encouraged with the results in regard to how AMS2 can potentially turn out. Go Reiza!
ACC has very good graphics and GTs and is exactly what people wants. I didn't buy ACC because I don't play much to AC but graphically seems to be amazing. Richard Burns rally, Rf2 and AMS are in another league for me.
Can’t wait... I hope I do not have to tone down the settings to much. If I’m able to play with the settings I use in Pcars atm, I’m happy.
