Next time someone says "simracing is a niche which does not make money", answer with this: Report: Assetto Corsa generated €21m in FY2021-2022
Changed video, replaced with flavour of the month and coming to AMS2 v/soon over a coffee. for the time being. Historic Spa. A look in a sim with tips?
Soon to come to AC BTW. Historic Sim Studios is putting togeather a 1916 Indycar with 3-4 cars, 2 Board Tracks and Indy in the main pack and a dirt oval and the Santa Monica Road course to come later.
The Real Deal. The real people from the time. A fascinating look at Senna/Prost/car story. 1988 MP4 /4strip down.
Updated photos with new PC, new keyboard, new mouse, new keyboard tray and second screen. This is my first full Asus build, definitely cost more but the quality of the gear is very impressive.
Thanks for taking the time to show the new goodies, heck sure looks good. Its always nice to see rigs. The wide spectrum of users on such varying hardware from gamepads to to high end £100000.00 (boosted media) and everything in between never fails to impress me (and make me kinda drooool!. . Had to look up Rog. lol (Republic of Gaming) Think I need lottery win, funds atm are for garage part built, and 1970's Maser restorations lol, car's eat money Great stuff, enjoy. Thanks again. Have fun.
I remember when I first started back in about 1997 on the PS1 and the F1 game, from there moved to PS2 then PS3 again the F1 games. Also had some sort of Nintendo that had an f1 game and it was very impressive for the times, got my first wheel for that, some weird thing that you had to sit on to keep it from moving around and itvwas very upright, very uncomfortable. Then in about 2009 i shifted to PC for the first time and got my fix on grand prix 4 and rfactor, bought a G27 and felt embarrassed that a fully grown man was screwing this thing to a table everything I wanted to play. That stuff definitely was not cool back then. Now we have this equipment that can cost gazillions and can be built to be very robust and industrial, not like the plastic coggy things when they first hit the market. Who would ever have thought it would come so far in such a short space of time, not me.
With Reiza's rendition of these fabulous beast a pleasure to drive, (thanks devs!) an interesting look at the GT cars and how AMG came up with their car to compete with the rest.
Can't sleep video, (sciatica) FFB special. ' Horse's mouth' perspective with his simicube. GT3 Driver
F1 racing Graham Hill Jackie Stewart funny interviews - YouTube Didn't realise Graham Hill had such comic genius with perfect timing. Jackie Stewart plays it to the hilt too. And Jim Clark, well...such a class act. The utter madness to drive those cars on the tracks they did already had my complete respect and awe, but then the wit, mutual respect and humour just puts it to another level for me.
Hi Ramsay, yes the humour and wit from the gentlemen of the time is something to relive, esp these day's. Different level of respect I think, may also come from the fact they lost so many of their friends/fellow drivers. Humour is a great medicine. (Hope your well, I am so out of date as unable to drive for months now hence no posts or reports.)( option of spinal surgery is not appealing atm) Have fun. Catch again on track up soon. Thanks for posting the vid.
Personally, only recently got into it, so cannot release any comments related to the whole scene. I can say that for me its: Fun Can Be very Competitive Depending what platform sim software/Hardware you use, it can be Expensive or Not, depending on if you have deep pockets. Overall its good to see some healthy competition out there to cater and give users the choice of what to use.
Coffee morning Video. On a lighter note about Group C cars: Although a C11 and not C9 enjoy 2 laps of Spa. Note the throttle /steering input and grip available. Great stuff!! . One of my favorite drivers of the day reminiscing Group c
There is a thread here #7 that was setup for Ams2 vs real vids. Not sure if this vid has been done yet as (proper side by side vid) but while sat here before cooking food this look to good to miss for the thread. Have to give this a blast at some point.
